Reggie Love: Obama leads like he plays

Tampa, Florida (CNN) - Reggie Love, the man by President Barack Obama's side for two years in the White House, said the president leads like he plays basketball.

In an exclusive interview with CNN Chief White House Correspondent Jessica Yellin, Love said the president is a competitor above all else.

"He's a competitor, and I think when you compete ... you can't spend all your time sort of being overly emotional or reactional to what's going on," Love said.

Love, who worked in then-Sen. Obama's Capitol Hill office before joining him on the campaign trail and in the White House, said that competitive nature extends to politics, cards and even shuffle board.

The former Duke basketball player often hits the court with the president and said he is able to brush off a bad play in sports and in life, managing to appear "really calm all the time."

"I think it looks like he's really, really calm all the time and nothing gets under his skin, but I think from an efficiency standpoint, you know, you can cry about the call or you can look to the next play," Love said. "And if you spend your time crying about the call, usually you, you miss the next play. And then ... instead of having one bad play, now you have two."

    For Southern Hottie
I will add a little to this debate since Snottie can't think for them self.
The proven competence and a record of success, let me guess, AT WHAT?
We know his record as Governor, why won't he talk about it? Same with BAIN, we know the good, bad and ugly, why won't he talk about it. Reason is because Robmey doesn't want you to know any of it. BAIN =Outsouce. Governor=job creation ranked 47/50 states as BAD.
No Tax returns, even with thy urging of well over half of the GOP and still we are waiting.

Southern Snottie, read up on the Mormon and his secret agendas, the ones from the creator JohnSmith. He doesn't respect women's rights, its a Mormon fact that Mormon women have no voice in the church and that's from the great great granddaughter of Brigham Young and she's not with the church either after 55 years.Mormon faith is male dominated, women are there only because they're there that's all,she made that statement today on tv..Mormons as well as Romney contibute to the church, most contributions buy realestate and other investments, not on the poor as Romney and others stated.Mormons own over 3 billion in real estate in Utah alone and its getting larger..Like I've said before,do to want a Mormon to put his hand on the bible pledging he'll uphold the office of the presidency when he only honors his leader John Smith the Mormon creator or as Commander in Chief send your love ones to war when he in turn doesn't believe in war and was a draftdodger fleeing to France as a Mormon missionary trying to teach French Catholics the Mormon religion.I don't know about you but I want a more transparent, honest candidate and that Mormon moron ain't it,his arrogence is only proceeded by his republican hypocricy and his alter ego the Ayn Rand diciple Ryan that believes in abortion and socialism isn't a bargain either, both losers, but what the heck you voted for them,we didn't good luck suckers!!!

@president handout, we would be able to afford it if Dubya had not started two wars that we could not pay for by lying through his teeth (See the GOP still lying after eight years) and borrowing money from China. @ Hammerer he is lead right now by running circles around the do nothing congress and Romneyhood who for a man that has been ruunning for the last 10 years still can not get himself together to even pretend that he knows politics. He has looked like a dunce from day one. Either of you can vote for the crook liar and cheat, but I won't and you can take that to the bank.

Obama was handed the worst economic disaster in 80 years when he became president, brought on by unfunded spending on two wars, a huge tax cut for the wealthy (because we had a surplus, remember) and a devasting mortgage crisis enabled by relaxed regulations. If we elect Romney, what will we get? An unfunded invasion of Syria? More tax cuts for the wealthy? A return to lax regulatory oversight? How's that going to help?

The most amazing thing to me is that Romney thinks he's going to win Michigan and Ohio after loudly saying that we should just let the American auto industry die.
