Christie: Romney will 'tell us the hard truths'

Tampa, Florida (CNN) - Chris Christie brought his trademark passion to the Republican National Convention on Tuesday, delivering a robust endorsement of Mitt Romney for president and advocating a tough-minded approach for dealing with the nation's economic and political problems.

The New Jersey governor is well known for plain talk and while some edges were softened at times, he mostly stuck to his familiar style in the coveted keynote address aimed at firing up the party faithful and appealing to a prime-time television audience.

Who says the repugs don't have a sense of humor? How can a flip flopper who has lied about most everything he has ever done or said be truthful? The same tax cheating lying bishop from planet Kolob!
    What a bunch of hypocrites!

"Christie: Romney will 'tell us the hard truths'"
HA! Romney will say whatever it takes to get elected except to Black people!
He doesn't extend that courtesy to us.

Really? When? Everything that comes out of Romney's mouth is a lie, or a "hard" lie. As Rick Santorum said, "Romney is the worst Republican in the country".

  7. the REAL TRUTH...

The HARD TRUTH is that the Twit isn't going to cut it. He got this far by divisive attacks on his competitors during the primaries. Same thing he's doing against Obama. And now these goons are singing his praises. They should rename themselves the hypocrisy party!!!!

No doubt. He will tell us the hard truth about how he will return us to the old "trickle down" economics that George Bush used to destroy the economy and lose 750,00 jobs a month. And, how his people work hard to remove minorities and the elderly from the voting ranks because they are mostly Democrats. Plus, how he will destroy Affordable Health Care and turn it back over to grredy and restrictive insurance, drug and related providers.

Governor Christie needs to listen to the sounds echoing from all parts of the country. WE do know the hard facts and we are well aware that there are problems and issues facing all of us. To now say that President Obama painted rosy pictures all the time is not very realistic. Perhaps he has not been listening and watching over the last three years. It is easy to criticize particularly when you are the governor, have all you need to feed, cloth, and house your family. You have transportation, state troopers to open paths for you, and more.

It would be nice if he recognized the fact that his party has stonewalled every move that this administration wanted to make. Perhaps he believes this is the way government should rule – at a standstill. Yes, he got the Republicans fired up with rhetoric but reality sets in very quickly.

The hard truths? Really? He is going to release his tax returns?!

Now that is wonderful news my Republican friends and a very wise decision indeed!

On a more serious note, the credit that Obama has regained worldwide after the 8 years of Bush-crimes will be annihilated in one blow if your country elects Romney. There is no way that you can recover econimcally by having him as POTUS, the world will not be willing to collaborate and you will be put back in isolation just as in the Bush years. Every threat and every war the US will get itself involved in once again will again have to be fought off alone, which is obviously great news for your weapon industry, just not for your people. Let America remain likeable and reasonable and give Obama more time to recover from the 2000-2008 dark ages, not only for you but also worldwide! Obama has kept you pretty safe since taking over in 2008 by deploying a very well-thought foreign policy strategy! Expect hell with Romney really...

If only Republicans could tell the truth as effectively as effectively as democrat liberals lie, this election would be no contest. Anyone notice how MSNBC cut away from its converntion coverage last evening when the black and hispanic speakers were on stage to spread more of the Obama regimes hate, divide and deceit rhetorie, with the old Obama knee chiller Chris Matthews?

  16. Ideas, Ideals, not ideologies

Truths? C'mon. Honesty? Give me a break. Hard truths? What truths? Let me say this. Truth is exclusive. Truth doesn't double down on a lie. Truth releases his taxes because he has nothing to hide. Truth stands by his record. Truth wants the same opportunity for everyone not just his friends. Truth isn't in conflict with himself. Mitt has avoided the truth all his adult life. Hasn't he been on both sides of every important issue of our time? Romney looks unsure of himself and his convictions. Truth isn't complicated or veiled. To quote Pilate after his signed off on Jesus' crucifixion "Truth, what is truth?". Truth was convenient Pilate then as it for Romney now

Truth? When and about what? Robmey hasn't stuck to but one conviction in years and that is to not release his taxes. If he wants the American people to vote for him he should do what all others before him have done. His father said it best. Too bad Mittens is nothing like him.

    OBAMA 2012!

I have never seen so many liars in one spot in my entire life. They ought to be thanking God (if they truly believe) that Hurricane Isaac didn't blow away the entire lot of them.

Romney hasn't been truthful about anything. He loves lies of omission especially, that's why he won't show his taxes.

The very first "truth" Romney needs to tell us is why he's hiding his tax returns. It's obvious he believes voters would turn away from him if they saw the returns – and discovered proof that he's an unethical cheat. He wants us to trust him with our country but he won't trust us with the information. The folks who got screwed by Bain trusted him...

Anyone who heard Chris Christie talk for the first time yesterday and has blood pressure, I think was very much disturbed. His tone was so scary all way through and didn't give any minute of at least feeling comfortable a little bit. He also talked about himself too much. That was one thing against self-esteem rules. Never praise yourself, let other people who watch you do it.

I'll say this abt GOP convention – takes chutzpah to say "We Built It" inside a publicly funded stadium at a convention funded by taxpayers.

Romney will lie, distort and flip flop. He just can't take a stand on anything – except more tax cuts for himself and the other millionaires/billionaires.
