Rubio introduces Romney, vision of GOP future

Tampa, Florida (CNN) - Sen. Marco Rubio's convention speech Thursday introducing Mitt Romney offered voters a look at one of the Republican Party's fastest-rising stars, and brought to the fore what the conservative movement hopes its future will look like.

"I watched my first convention in 1980 with my grandfather," Rubio began, placing a date on the generational shift that he and Romney's running mate Paul Ryan represent for the GOP.

Rubio offered a lot of Republican/Conservative rhetorical anthems; which unfortunately could have been delivered in one third the time and basically said the same thing. However, as expected he offered nothing of substance for anyone who would not care to be in that convention hall. Not good if his speech was one designed to ‘unite’ anyone. Basically, Rubio’s speech was light of facts and heavy on sarcastic childish jabs at the President. He’ll never go farther than the role he played tonight.

Marco Rubio has a terrific story line. He probably will eventually be in higher office. He has some good ideas – It just took a progressive President to move his dream act out of committee into policy. He should remember he was an alternative to old Republican chain of ascent , he needs to break free from Boehner's Bunch move the party out of its role as roadblock and obstacle. If he was a Democrat he would be next in line, but as long as he is framed by Republican retro think – he may become wealthy but he'll problbly get corrupted and RNC would never put a Latino on a ticket.

Rubio is spectacular. After Romney's two terms, he'll make a great VP for President Ryan. The Republicans have a very deep bench with a LOT of talent. Democrats got Al Franken.

I like Romney's little Cuban plug in his speech.

Rubio needs a lot more growing up to do.

There are many stories like that. There are many more where people don't get the chance to do more. Not everyone has the boot straps needed. Some are just luck with the oppertunities that they are given.

    - Vision of GOP future --

Rich get much richer paying no taxes, and the poor get crushed and assets repo'd.

But the lucky ones work minimum wage with no health benefits.
