Tampa, Florida (CNN) - It was supposed to be Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney's night.
But instead of basking in the afterglow of what many called a solid acceptance speech, the Romney campaign is now forced to deal with the aftermath of Clint Eastwood's rambling "empty chair" routine at the Republican National Convention on Thursday night.
FULL STORY
Where's your tax returns romney the tax cheat !!!!
This convention will be rememebered by the address of an old man who made a fool of himself and insulted the American intellegence – No I am NOT TALKING ABOUT CLINT – it was Romeny's address
Even on his big night, Romney was upstaged by an empty chair. Given the emptiness of his campaign (no plans, no details, and no tax returns), people should not be surprised.
It is you liberals/democrats who is talking about Eastwood over Romney becase you are upset with the fact that he was making fun of Obama. Good for Eastwood and I am happy that he did what he did because the left like to make jokes against republicans and now the same is being done to Obama you people cannot handle it. Eastwood did not upstage Romney but liberals/democrats are so thin skinned that they cannot handle it. Hahahaha!!!!!! That also includes CNN and MSNBC!!!!! Fickle minds think fickle things!!!!!!!
Anything but Romney is more exciting to talk about so Romney really didnt say that much that you can hold onto.Poor old Clint, you would have to be senile or mega rich to buy into the Romney plan so Eastwood has it all as far as Romneyhood is concerned
I guess Eastwood made Rommey's day
Why??? Because Eastwood is a better person a better speaker and a better actor than Mitt Romney could ever hope to be. And because everyone should be concerned when older people show signs of a lack of oxygen to the brain.
Eastwood has been a celebrity alot longer than Romney. And that is all that Romney is – a wanna be celebrity. That's why Eastwood took all of the air of the room. People were excited to see a real celebrity in person even if they just talked to an empty chair. Romney just can't provide the rock star experience.
Some loved it others hated it! I think it depicts the GOTP perfectly! An old white dude rambling about the down fall of the other guy, w/out being factual or proposing a better solution! Obama Next 4, please!!
This was just sad. He is a great actor, but this was sad.
Let's tell the truth about last nigh RNC Convention . . . Romney did not make a dent in his overall persona last night. He even looked like he was reading from a teleprompter. No zeal, no passion, no substance . . . We know it was all a big fat act, a bad one at that. Paul Ryan, everyone knows is a lier, brat and in no time at all, he will start to wear on the American people nerve, much like Palin did. And has for good ole Clint Eastwood, the republican party, they can have him. His best years all long gone. I felt kind of sorry for him. Clint is a true sign of the republican party leadership, old, washed up and needs changing often.
It's called celebrity attraction , dancing with the stars 101 , celebrity rehab 102, celebrity assisted living 103 .
"The Outlaw Josey Sales" o"r Magnum Republican" or "The Good the Bad and the Romney".
This is what romney the tax cheat joke would be like in the white house ,a national disease!!!
My man smoked some serious weed before he went out there. Thats for sure! Look at him!
Clint's senile senior moment up stages alexithymic Mitt's NO SUBSTANCE SPEECH. Best clown show ever!
Clint Eastwood looked like he was 92, not 82. A terribly sad, disjointed and incredibly disrespectful rant. He may dislike the President, but his pretending to interrupt and lecture the President is dispectful to the office. He and Jan Brewer...
This man spoiled his great job he did in the past and also the entire convention. He was quite disgraceful at the convention. I really doubt how many drinks he took before storming the stage. Talking to an empty chair!! Why didn't he pretend talking with someone on the phone? He didn't prove as a man full of wisdom at his age. He lost the opportunity which he will never come across any time of his very few days left to be on earth.
RAWMONEY AND MORE RAWMONEY!

Why? Because an empty wooden chair has more charisman and personality than the man running for president.
His speech was flat and his vp nominee's speech was full of lies and he is being attacked for it.
GO CHAIR 2012!!
"Why everyone is talking Eastwood, not Romney?"
First, Romney's speech was a dud. Second, Eastwood was brought in because Romney himself knew his speech would be a dud. That it backfired is sweet justice, indeed. Romney used Eastwood just as Romney uses everyone to his benefit. And as usual, Romney is walking back his own participation in allowing Eastwood full coverage to make a fool of himself.
I'm more interested in why Paul Ryan didn't go to Louisiana with Romney. Oh, that's right. I'd almost forgotten. Ryan tried to stall a bill through Congress this year by voting against the federal funding bill the Dems proposed which sets aside federal aid funding for disaster victims. That, and the government built levees doesn't fall into the "We Built It" conversation quite the way the Ryan narrative would care for.
