Charlotte (CNN) – Clint Eastwood meet Scarlett Johansson, Natalie Portman and Kerry Washington.
The three actresses, firmly anchored in Hollywood's royalty, have been secretly scheduled to speak at the Democratic National Convention, according to a tentative schedule provided by a source to CNN.

The schedule lists the three actresses as speaking on Thursday evening, the same night that President Obama and Vice President Joe Biden will accept their party's respective nominations. Johansson, Portman and Washington are listed as following The Foo Fighters on the itinerary. Convention officials announced that the alternative rock band would perform last week.
A source told CNN the hope is to have the three actresses appear on stage together.
It's unclear if the schedule has been finalized or is subject to change. When contacted by CNN, a DNC official said that no final details about the Thursday program would be divulged at this time.
CNN reached out to representatives for each actress but did not receive comment for Johansson and Portman. A representative for Washington would only say the actress is currently filming in Los Angeles.
Though several celebrities are slated to attend the DNC, appearances by Johansson, Portman and Washington would surely invite special political scrutiny.
All three are popular, award-winning actresses and among Hollywood's most bankable stars. But perhaps more importantly, all three represent demographics that Democrats hope to win by wide margins: women and young voters.
Johansson is 27 years old, Portman is 31 and Washington is 35.
Should the actresses take the stage supporting the president it could help Democrats present a picture of inclusiveness and diversity within the party. Johansson and Portman are white, Washington is African-American.
Meanwhile, an appearance by the trio would come one week after another political surprise move by a Hollywood royal.
Clint Eastwood delivered an unannounced speech at the Republican National Convention on Romney's behalf on Thursday. Though it was well received by conservatives in attendance and others watching at home – Eastwood's speech, where he had a conversation with an imaginary President Obama represented by an empty chair, was mocked by many others.
One thing Eastwood has in common with the women: they are all critically acclaimed actors.
In addition to positive reviews in other films, Portman won an Academy Award in 2011 for her role in "The Black Swan." Johansson has seen critical acclaim for roles in films such as "Lost in Translation," "A Love Song for Bobby Long" and "The Other Boleyn Girl." Washington currently stars in ABC's hit show "Scandal" and roundly received praise for her roles in the films "For Colored Girls," "The Last King of Scotland" and the Ray Charles biopic, "Ray."
Johansson, Portman and Washington were vocal supporters of Obama in 2008.
The fake people are going to Charlotte. Obama and his wife both fit in very well with these Hollywood actors and actresses.
@John
Yes! It about time the DNC showed everyone who the liberal 1%ers supporting them are!! Wait, rich liberal 1%ers? I thought they all gave their money away? Oh, I see, they only want to tax rich business owners, not rich non-productive liberals. Hollywood and sports stars are exempt from the liberal demonization of having money.

This makes no sense John. The IRS will tax you based on how much you make – not based on what you do for a living. You do make a good point though – these ultra rich business people that you are so concerned about probably do not pay as much as your so called liberal 1%ers since they are recieving their money as captial gains at a lower tax rate.
I admire your conviction to run to the defense of the "rich business owners" but even they will not stay up that high if the heads they are stepping on continually get weaker.
I love the insults of fully functioning Hollywood actors flying from the Republicans on here. Apparently they only like stupid, washed-up, and/or senile celebrities a la Clint Eastwood, Ted Nugent, and Victoria Jackson.
Look Rudy... your "question" is absurd and ridiculous. It assumes one believes that satan or the devil can become incarnate... which I do not believe possible.
Great! No offense to all 3 of them...they are beautiful and I would love to get a date with Ms. Johansson. But come on... invite rich people who are no longer faced by foreclosure, loss of job or lack of health care to speak to us about life. I rather hear from people that somehow have found that the regulations and changes put in place under Obama administration have changed their lives.

They look like real enough people to me. I thought the GOP worships success? That's what I kept on hearing again and again at the RNC last week. Well these young women built it and now they are going to talk about who else deserves some credit for that. Don't tell me that Republicans now think that smart, rich, successful people should be ashamed of themselves this week but not last - I would have to accuse you of flip-flopping, just like Romney, or perhaps even lying, just like Ryan.
Will there be chairs?
The Democrats are desperate and out of ideas if this is the best they can do.
@Al, if you want to "hear from people that somehow have found that the regulations and changes put in place under Obama administration have changed their lives," then hopefully you watched Stacey Lihn's speech, where the mother of a child with a congenital heart defect explained that Obamacare made another heart surgery possible for her child by removing the lifetime cap on her insurance. If Romney gets elected, her child may die. How's that for Obama's policies changing lives?
and the contrast couldn't be more stark.. RNC has Clint Eastwood.. old white man stuck in his ways. DNC has young beautiful and smart progressive people! The symbolism itself also speaks volumes!
Bring on Scarlett.....hubba-hubba....
Republicans don't have anyone like Natalie Portman. As gorgeous as a goddess, as intelligent as a scholar and one of the great actresses of our time. The best they could muster as a half senile guy that acted 30 years ago, that debated with a chair.
It is about time the democrats show off their supporters. Look, there are many young, brilliant and I must say beautiful who support the president and all the great things he has done for this country.
Iraq war has ended
Economy saved from another great depression
Osama Bin Laden is dead
Equal Pay for work of equal value for women
Tax cuts for small businesses and the middle class
4.5 million jobs
GM and Chrysler is back and 1 million jobs saved from "let Detroit go bankrupt"
If the Republicans in congress had passed the president's job bills we would have had millions more jobs.

Actually, that is not the case. The IRS does tax you based on what you do for a living. If owned a company that sold widgets, my salary would be taxed as earned income. But, if I sold capital, then my salary would be taxed as capital gains.

Yeah, Obama really needs to reach out to people who are African-American or are white and kinda outta touch in flyover country. Those demographic problems will drive you nuts !!
Right on Dems - use some beauty to contrast against the beast.
I'm skeptical. Why would the DNC risk making the same mistake as the RNC? Don't get me wrong, these are fine actresses, but Eastwood is also a fine actor and even better director. Being successful in Hollywood doesn't translate to success on the political stage, anymore than Romney's Bain experience makes him a competent steward of the economy.
Put them all together and you could top 120 IQ points..maybe.
Com'on where's Clooney and his rat pack!!!! OBAMA2012
Fair is Fair

Christians believe that the devil can influence people on the Earth: right here and right now.
That's hilarious that these three women are the Democrats secretly scheduled guests. While talented, I would not even listen to what they have to say politically. Zip. Zilch. Zero.
it's going to be more of the "look I have boobies and have been in movies, thanks for keeping abortion legal and gosh aren't those republicans evil" crap.
Fair is Fair,
Most of the human cells are alive, including sperms and ova/eggs, even before fertilization. (FYI, hair cells and skin cells at the surface are dead.) They are not equivalent to human beings. Here is a hypothetical question for you: if someday science can turn any live human cell into a full human being– you may have heard of cloning– do we stop playing sports because we cannot harm any potential human being?
This is superfluous silliness. There must be other women with greater contributions to society than actors. Actors aren't bad but they aren't experts on politics. Firstly, famous actors are rich and therefore out of touch with most Americans. There success is bone structure and little else.
To counter Eastwood with three hot babes is a like Nicholson in 1987 going head-to-head with Cher, Sarandon, and Pfeiffer. Remember that? Exactly.
And when all else fails let's just invoke God's name at every turn for every whim.
My actor is better than your actor. My god is better than your god.
Gods and actors aren't going to fix the economy. Fantasies and prayers are what got us in trouble in the first place.
No one is going to save you unless you are able to save some cash for yourself. Being unemployed and living off of loans for future generations is not very godly. Idle hands and usury are the devil's work. Turn of the TV and get busy.
What a gushing "news" story. I would hardly call Scarlett Johansson, Natalie Portman or Kerry Washington "Hollywood royalty." And according to the article, they are "among Hollywood's most bankable stars." Really? Since when? Since Johansson and Portman started doing comic-book movies? I really doubt anyone went to see the Avengers because of Johansson. Not that she wasn't good in the movie, but I don't believe that her appearance is what drove fans to the theaters.
