Wall Street set to break spending records this election

WASHINGTON (CNNMoney) - Wall Street is on track to spend more on this election than it ever has during a campaign season.

With two months to go before Nov. 6, Wall Street firms have so far spent $164 million on campaigns and donations to political groups designed to influence the elections, according to the Center for Responsive Politics. That puts the industry on pace to surpass the spending record of $170 million that it set during the 2008 race.

Dumbocraps say how wall street is thier enemy, then why do they keep taking money from them ???? Oblameo is plain and simple, inept, yes he is more inept than Carter. Watching his wife spew lies last night was just another prime example of his lack of leadership, Pelosi a total joke, Biden a fool what have they improved NOTHING, a strong leader finds ways to suceed not point fingers when he fails. If Oblunder would spent half of much time working on the economy as he did pretending to be lady gaga maybe we would be better off.

It seems that you and CNN have a problem with these numbers because Wall street is giving the republicans more $ this time than last. For all the knashing of teeth the dems display about greedy Wall Street, they sure don't mind taking their money.

Thank you Messers Roberts, Alito, Thomas, Scalia ("Tony the Scab") and Kennedy for turning back the clock 100 years to the time when NY money brokers determined elections. Somehow I don't think that the Founding Fathers would approve.

Conclusion: Republicans are in the tank with Wall Street, instead of putting a priority on The People.

How much has CNN and the rest of the lamestream media donated to the compaigns?
That would be much more telling, and a lot more dangerous, than Wall Street's money.
