(CNN) - Mitt Romney blasted the Obama administration on Wednesday for a statement he said was made by the U.S. Embassy in Egypt after its security was breached, calling it "akin to an apology" that was "disgraceful" and adding that the president assumes responsibility for all communications from U.S. diplomats.
Romney, during a press conference in Florida, called the killing of the U.S. ambassador to Libya and three other embassy personnel "outrageous" and "disgusting," and said "America will not tolerate attacks against our citizens and against our embassies."
The Republican presidential nominee first released a statement Tuesday night.
Romney chooses again to double-down on his irresponsible behavior. Sad.
Mr. Romney, stay out of foreign affairs. Your jingoistic, self promoting comments can only hurt our national interests, which you are not in a psoition to even comprehend at this point. I hope that you do not start threatening to send other people's sons (and of course not your own) over there to show them Arabs a thing or two.
Romney's ignorance and arrogance on foreign affairs leaves me speechless....so sad...maybe he should remain "speechless" until he has the facts...
Romney the Puppet Liar, you are NOT, I repeat NOT the POTUS. So please, just shut up and try to do something about your low poll numbers.
When we were attacked on 9/11 we all pulled together and stood strong. Political parties no longer mattered. All that mattered was we were Americans. Now, when we are attacked again and make no mistake this was an attack on American, the left is using it to attack the President. Anyone who uses this to attack the 'other side' is no American. That goes for presidential candidates, too. You Mr Romney, are no American.
All he can do is attack. Listen up Mittens and your inept advisors – – it does not work.
Sorry Mitt, our lameo leader is too busy campaigning to care about the problems he brought on the U.S. the whole world knows what a pansy he is. when u take over u can right a wrong. Look forward to seeing u in office and Oblameo out in the cold.
I think that Romney's response albeit a little rough on the President is exactly what Americans want to hear from their leader. No more hand holding, no more apologizing, no more if we give you aid will you like us policy. We need to reverse the course this president has put us on with regard to our position in the world. We are America, we lead, we don't follow. We support democracy, not tolerate radical response to our Soverign Territory or to our people around the world. It should be made clear that an attack on an Embassy in any part of the world is an attack no different than if it was on our own soil and will be responded to as if the attack took place here. Strength is what is respected by these radicals, nothing else will work.
And yet somehow..., the lamestream media is ok with Obama's late response and the related thousands of deaths.
Ironically, much the same way the lamestream media is doing with Obama's evoling opinion on Syria and the related thousnads of deaths there.
The President is not technically responsible for our diplomatic relations with other countries, that just happens to be the responsibility of Congress who approved those diplomats.
They also do other neat stuff, like approve our Treaties with foreign countries. They have the responsibility of our diplomats' actions for no one else hired those people. The President can only submit for approval these people – Congress makes the final word and takes all the responsibility.
Romney clearly does not have a clue how our government works. He should be on a beach somewhere getting a bad tan, not trying to pretend he knows how to run a country.
From the AP:
"Bacile, a California real estate developer who identifies himself as an Israeli Jew, said he believes the movie will help his native land by exposing Islam’s flaws to the world. “Islam is a cancer, period,” he said repeatedly, his solemn voice thickly accented.
The two-hour movie, Innocence of Muslims, cost $5 million to make and was financed with the help of more than 100 Jewish donors, said Bacile, who wrote and directed it. The film claims Muhammad was a fraud. The14-minute trailer of the movie that reportedly set off the protests, posted on the website YouTube in an original English version and another dubbed into Egyptian Arabic, shows an amateur cast performing a wooden dialogue of insults disguised as revelations about Muhammad, whose obedient followers are presented as a cadre of goons. It depicts Muhammad as a feckless philanderer who approved of child sexual abuse, among other overtly insulting claims that have caused outrage.
Why are they calling this an American movie? It was filmed by an Israeli.
Here you go again Mr. Romney. You seize every unfavorable situations to launch an attack on our dear president. When will you stop all these your attacks and focus your energy on what you are going to do if elected. Anyway I cannot blame you since you do not have anything for us. All you have is attack the President.
Atleast Clint Eastwood showed that Mitt's bid for the Whitehouse is nothing more than a joke.
What is wrong with Romney and his entire team? I have never seen things like this before. The pretending has now crossed the line. First I heard them in one of the interview with his wife Ann that they have discussed how they will decorate the White House. Second, I didn't understand it during their convention in Tampa, Romney did it as if it was "State of Union " time, came through the red carpet and greeting each individual. Today, giving the speech as if he is already the man incharge of the country and taking questions at the same time. Gee, how far this dream will go? Should we expect next time hearing him saying: "I don't agree with this, and I will use my VETO?"
It's high time that someone stood up to this, while President Obama apologizes and sweeps it under the rug.
Syria, Lbyia, Egypt, Israel, Russia. Obama's GREAT Foriegn Policy.., according to CNN and the rest of the lamestream.
Well, good for him because if there is anything I dislike more, it's a candidate running for president sticking his nose in that which hasn't got anything to do with him or his campaign.
Go for it, Mr. Mittens. Put on those big boy pants and "blast" away.
Romney really needs to shut up before he makes things worse. This man should never be allowed to hold public office.
as Always , Mittens is keeping it classy by wading into foreign policy where he has no experience, no internal knowledge, no consideration for delicate diplomacy and no respect for the Office he's trying to achieve, or the people that place presidents into that office.. the only thing Mittens can relate to a foreign front is his American Dollars in Foreign Bank accounts so he can avoid keeping those revenues in the USA ... this man doesn't even deserve to Run for President, much less be the president ... and why would Annie Romney say it's "THIER TURN" ??? Hey Mittens, stop hiding your TAXES !
Hey Romney! Word salad does not equal foreign policy experience. You tried to get it by going abroad this summer and you were an epic failure. Go away.
Why doesn't mittens condemn the hateful minister who funded and backed the movie in question? The guy incited violence against Americans abroad from the safety of his keyboard. He did the same thing last year with his Koran burning. His actions go well beyond free speech, and when two elderly women can be assaulted by sychophants for having the audacity to unfurl a banner critical of a president, and then arrested for inciting the violence wrought upon them by said sychophants, how can the hater who got people killed NOT be?
Romney should save his tough talk for his concession speech.
Well Mitt, why not send any of your 5 Healthy Sons over there to slap a few people around; like you SAID you would have done if you'd gone to Vietnam. LITMUS TEST: Any Repub. that wants war MUST send their own kids, grandkids or their gated community neighbors kids.
He can claim this is Geordge Bushes economy, but this is certainly Obama's World! Mob rule and chaos !.
It's time that someone stood up to this, while President Obama apologizes and sweeps it under the rug.
