Republicans blame Obama for Fed action

Washington (CNNMoney) - Republicans used the Federal Reserve's announcement of a third round of stimulus to blast President Obama, saying the lackluster economic recovery he's overseen is behind the central bank's "artificial" and "ineffective" move.

Most Republicans, including the campaign of presidential candidate Mitt Romney, used the Fed's move to tout their main campaign message going into the Nov. 6 elections, that Obama's economic stewardship has failed.

This is basically a taxpayer-backed contribution to the Obama campaign. Illegal at best. Probably traitorous.

Let see....the markets are at levels going back to 2007. I think I will not complain at this stage if I was them.

  3. Facts don't Lie

"Republicans Blame Obama" is not news folks. I guess they forget the Fed director was a GWB appointee as well. For some reason outside of the Bush years the word "stimulus" has become a bad word with the GOP.

Ben Bernanke said if things don't change he would initiate a stimulus, presidents support or not,it was in Business Week just recently. He wants to help spark the economy and he knows republicans aren't being cooperative saying nothing will be passed or discussed till after the elections. An economist said that congress isn't to worried about the deficet, just hoping not to overreact to it!!Bernanke said there basically is no fiscal cliff as republicans keep stating!!

The Feds would not have to do this if Congress did their job. Congress' approval rating is low, low, low. And the DOW is up, up, up. Who are you gonna TRUST????

Sniffit - Nothing says "we're afraid it might work" like GOPer/Teatrolls freaking out about something Obama or the Dems are doing.

right, because it hasn't worked the first 3 times it was done, we're afraid it'll work on the fourth attempt. if this wasn't so serious and damaging to this country i'd be on the floor laughing. instead i have to again recite the definition of insanity to you, obama and this idiot at the fed. but what really keeps me up at night is that i just know these clowns are trying to figure out some way to spend another $2-3 trillion on another stimulus package because they think the first one was such a stunning success.

wake up america. your country and your children's future is disappearing because of incompetent obama economic management.

What, pray tell, would be the point of continuing to hold jobs council meetings if all the GOP/Teatrolls are going to do is say "no...

Wow, Obama gave up on jobs, no wonder we're in so much trouble. Then giving Obama another 4 years won't make a difference.

...and Republicans keep telling us that DC does not have a revenue problem. We've had one ever since the first round of Bush Tax Cuts.
Not at all. The federal government is collecting more revenue than any government in the history of mankind. Ever. The problem is not that it is not collecting enough taxes. But it is spending $1 trillion more a year than that! It has a spending problem. This is only getting worse as Obama refuses to manage the largest cost: Health Care. In fact, he is increasing the cost America spends on health care. That's his idea of reform. We can do better. Romney/ Ryan 2012.

Well of course they do; it stands a chance of MAKING THE ECONOMY BETTER and no self-respecting Republican can stand of that!

Stock market is up on the news though. And as far as the President is concerned, The FED is independent. [the President DOES NOT direct the FED Chairman on what to do]. Of course the Neanderthal Republicans are not about to let ThE TRUTH stand in the way of their diatribes. If I were a Republican, I`d be ashamed to claim the actions and words of the party standard bearers.

I blame House republicans for blocking the President's jobs bill. Since Congress won't act, the Fed did! WORST CONGRESS EVER!!!!

THE GOTP think 96,000 jobs created in a month is great news. They are betting against America. It's to vote them out!

Folks...we were doing pretty well before the 2010 elections. Then Americans decided not to vote and let 25% of the population take over this country. The Tea Party folks and the GOP decided " compromise" was a dirty word and threw 99% of Americans under the bus! Hopefully, we have awakened and will elect Obama/Biden in 2012! Wake up folks!
