Romney has first intelligence briefing

(CNN) - Mitt Romney received his first intelligence briefing Monday, less than one week after criticizing the president over the attacks on U.S. diplomatic posts in Egypt and Libya.

His campaign confirmed that the Republican nominee took part in the briefing at an FBI building in Los Angeles following a campaign event.

Romney's team did not say who in the national intelligence community provided the briefing.

CNN reported Thursday that Romney would start receiving the updates this week - a customary measure in the latter stages of a general election campaign for presidential challengers, regardless of which party is in power.

Romney took heat last week for releasing a highly charged political statement against the Obama administration before all the facts were known about the attacks overseas. He doubled down on his criticism in the aftermath of the violence.

- CNN's Ashley Killough, Jim Acosta, and Rachel Streitfeld contributed to this report.

That must have been a tough job – Willard and intelligence just don't mix well.

He's too dumb and too dangerous to be given such sensitive information.

I wonder if Mr. Romney unleashed more criticism at the official who provided the briefing.

Why? For what reason? This is a guy who stumbles over every single sentence every day and we are giving him classified briefings? I wouldn't give him the time of day.

Listening to Willard's response tonight, confirmed he will never be POTUS. Not once, did this creep apologize to the 47% of American people who support our president. Tonight he looked so flustered and ignorant that he didn't even have time to comb his fake hair and put on his fake smile. It was a sad sight if you ask me but far worse, was his statement that "he speaks one way to his supporters and another to the public" (you know the VOTERS). We're NOT stupid nor do we like being intentionally insulted.

Willard is just what I thought he was a hateful, cold-blooded bigot and I'm so glad he was EXPOSED. To all those who actually thought of supporting him-THINK AGAIN.

Obama/Biden ALL the way in 2012

after the last week or two of the campaign...its pretty clear that Romney doesn't need an intelligence briefing, he needs an intelligence transplant

  23. Just a thought

Giving intelligence to this schmuck is counter intuitive. What good could that possibly do (?) Mitt the Twit couldn't find the truth about anything, even if it was taped to his forehead.
