New Romney ads target voters’ emotions

(CNN) - A new television ad released Tuesday morning by presidential candidate Mitt Romney’s campaign flips the table on Democrats, insisting that it is President Obama’s policies that are “making it harder on women.”

In the ad titled “Dear Daughter” a female narrator welcomes her newborn to America, starting off by telling the infant her share of Obama’s debt: $50,000.

The 30-second ad appeals to mothers, showing the baby throughout as it lists statistics about women, poverty, and unemployment under the Obama administration.

“The poverty rate for women – the highest in 17 years,” says the narrator. “More women are unemployed under President Obama. More than 5.5 million women can’t find work.”

The Romney campaign points out that the unemployment rate among women has also increased from 7% to 7.8%, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics.

In an aggressive effort to maintain voters’ attention and keep their focus on the economy, Team Romney released another ad Monday discussing the metaphorical prairie fire of debt burning across the United States.

“Every day that we fail to act, that fire gets closer to the homes and the children we love, and rather than putting out that spending fire President Obama has been feeding it,” Romney says over ominous music.

This web video does not have statistics and paints a grim picture of the economy.

Romney, who has been described as robotic and opaque, takes the opportunity in both ads to appeal to the public’s emotions with the mention of children and the future generations of America.

The only emotion Mittens and the GOP/Teatrolls evoke for me is OUTRAGE. Period. We've now seen what he says behind closed doors to the richest of his donors, the disgusting untruths and mischaracterizations of half of America's citizenry upon which his pleas for help buying the presidency and plutocracy are based. Back under your rock, slug.

Dear Daughter: Mitt Romney will not sign legislation that will allow you to compete fairly in the workplace in order to earn equal to your twin brother, and he wants to pass legislation that controls your reproductive rights.

Believe me when I tell you, dear daughter, that your mother has no intention of supporting a man who thinks that a woman is not intelligent enough to make her own reproductive choices nor worthy enough to earn equal pay for equal labor to her male coworker in the same employ.

Aren't you blessed, dear daughter, that all women are not quite as stupid as the GOP seems to think we are?

    he party's over.
    They say that all

Every time Romney, or for that matter, Ryan, opens his (their) mouth(s), I get more and more anxious to cast my vote for President Obama and Vice President Biden.
