Sterling Heights, Michigan (CNN) - Joe Cefali has to leave 10 minutes earlier for work in the morning because the traffic is getting worse. And get this: That makes him happy.
"You feel the rejuvenation," the 19-year Chrysler worker says of the mood inside the Sterling Stamping plant and in the busy restaurants and other businesses near the Chrysler and GM factories.

Revived Auto Industry?
But..,but didn't General Motors halt production of the "poorly selling" Chevy Volt"?? I'm so confused..
Fiat saved Chrysler and GM is temporarily propped up by the taxpayers. The bailout by bankruptcy and steered by Obama robbed the legal shareholders of their shares and gave them to the unions and GM still owes $45-50 Billion to the taxpayers that will never be repaid.
That rejuvenation feeling is the $25 Billion dollars still owed to the US taxpayers by Chrysler and GM. HELLO!!
"I am confident that Mitt Romney cares about every American and … is obviously concerned about the growth of the welfare state," McCain said."
I beg to differ, McCain. Michigan is another such area that Romney was all to willing to sit back and do nothing for, all the while pimping his own father "who was the head of a large automotive company". Then, when things began to improve Romney had the audacity of taking credit for the improvement, as he condemned Obama for the actions Obama took. Whenever the GOP surrogates now pretend they "know" Mitt Romney and begin saying how "he's really just a nice guy being forced by others to say incredibly nasty stuff" they ought to look into their own mindset - because each and every defender of Mitt Romney is lying - thus humiliating the 47% over and over again in their defense of Romney. These are real folks ... not Republican talking point memo's issued by Camp Romney.
It isn't any great surprise. Obama was able to to keep these people working. That endears him to lots of people there.
A revived auto industry does give Pres. Obama an advantage.
A declining economy would give Republicans an advantage.
For the past two years Pres. Obama has worked for best political interests, and so have the Republicans worked towards their best interests.
True, manufacturing is coming back because labor in china, India is outrageously high. Good sign to USA...
americans just want good jobs...no matter the state or party...
Joe Cefali is a UAW Skilled Trades Trainer (Union) so his opinion is not valid. Of course a Union member is going to speak highly of President Obama. Who knows what kind of salary this Union trainer is making and what kind of benefits he is getting thanks to our tax dollars bailing out Chrysler.
I know that it was President Bush who originally bailed out General Motors and Chrysler, he was the one that approved a $17.4 Billion of taxpayers' money loan. I know many of you will remind me of Bush's loan to GM and Chrysler and that Obama only continued what Bush had already started ( you guys have reminded me of this previously).
When Obama took over, MI had an unemployment rate of over 14%. If the president had followed Mittens' advice and let Detroit go broke, the unemployment rate their wold be 20%. Mittens has been wrong on every important issue facing Americans. Mittens was a failure as governor of MA, and the right wingnuts are confident he can destroy America as well.
Mittens wants to be president of 100% of the top 1%. He knows that the 47% that do not pay their fair share of taxes are made up of seniors, college students, the poor, disabled veterans, and the Romney households.
"I don't think he is one of us... a Michigander," Cefali says of Romney.
-------------------------------------------------
Us humans don't think he is one of us either.
Seriously. The man is completely, irrevocably, and shamefully disconnected from humanity.
Obama 2012 – because he IS one of us, and he GETS it.
Well,
I am happy for people haveing jobs .Of course if Obama get's his way and raises taxes on those who create the jobs, those auto jobs may dissappear.
Ryan/Romney are pants-on-fire blatant liars, and have been for months.
What makes you think he will change? A leopard does NOT change it's spots.
He may lie more skillfully to get votes, but it's still lies.
Obama/Biden 2012
Not only did the President save the auto industry, he saved entire communities in the process. While on the other hand, Mr. "Trees are the right height" insisted on letting Detroit go bakrupt. Just like he insisted on letting the housing market hit rock bottom.
President Obama saved the auto industry in Michigan resulting in jobs in the auto parts industry in Ohio, etc. Why, because Obama cares about 100% of Americans. Can't say the same for Mitt Romney, he's not trustworthy.
i bet they you bet gm is becuse they never paid there bill that they stoled from the tax people ask obummer when gm is going to pay us back and dont for get ask the people at gm about the bonus that got every year the first year they got 4500 2nd year 8500 witch they were sopose to they the tax people back first and dont for get the garbage car they made the volt witch they cant give away because its junk
Mitt Romney made the correct call on this issue first. The companies needed to go through managed bankruptcies. Obama threw $50 billion of American Treasury money at them and then ended up coming to the same conclusion. For what Obama originally said wouldn't cost the taxpayer a dime, the taxpayers are now out $25 billion.
It's clear Mitt Romney was correct on this one. Romney/ Ryan 2012.
