(CNN) – The Romney campaign was quick to pounce on comments made by President Barack Obama in an interview that aired Sunday, calling into question the president’s commitment to Israel as the United States’ closest ally in the Middle East.
In an interview with CBS’ Steve Kroft recorded the day following the deadly attacks on the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi, Libya, killing four including the U.S. ambassador to Libya, Obama was asked if he felt pressure from Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to change his policy and a draw line in the sand when it comes to Iran's nuclear program.

Romney: Obama 'trying to fool people'
Denver, Colorado (CNN) – Mitt Romney blamed President Barack Obama for mischaracterizing his positions and forcing him to spend more time fund-raising, as the GOP presidential candidate looked to turn around his campaign trajectory and end a difficult week.
The Republican standard-bearer did not push back when asked Sunday whether he had fallen behind the president in key swing states, but said he expected the upcoming trio of debates would help him set the record straight.

(CNN) – Stepping away from the intricacies and attacks that have dominated the 2012 campaign season, the candidates spoke in interviews aired Sunday in more broad terms of leadership qualities, past presidents' legacies and how they unwind amid the whirlwind race for the White House.
President Barack Obama told CBS News that he is a night owl. While his wife and two daughters retire earlier for the evening, the president stays awake, perched on the Truman balcony to read, write and reflect into the early hours of the morning, he said.

Obama: I bear 'full responsibility for everything'
(CNN) – President Barack Obama discussed his frustration with gridlock in Washington, saying his "biggest disappointment" in his nearly four years in office has been the failure to oversee change in the nation's political climate.

Poll: Obama up by five points in Ohio
(CNN) - One day before Mitt Romney's campaign starts a three day bus tour in Ohio, a new poll indicates the Republican nominee is behind President Barack Obama by five percentage points in the Buckeye State.
Just over half - 51% - of likely voters back the president, while 46% support Romney, according to a new survey released Sunday and conducted by the University of Cincinnati's Institute for Policy Research.

Undecided voters: Who are they and how much do they matter?
(CNN) - Undecided voters are few, angry, and not particularly focused on the campaign, according to members of a roundtable discussion with CNN Chief Political Correspondent Candy Crowley on "State of the Union."
Republican pollster Whit Ayers said undecided voters–who make up 7% of the electorate, according to a recent Pew poll–are less partisan, less engaged and are only now starting to pay attention to the 2012 race. Ayers added he expects most of them to break for Republican nominee Mitt Romney.

(CNN) - A senior Obama campaign adviser said Mitt Romney has a leg up on President Barack Obama in the upcoming presidential debates.
