Bristol Palin makes a dancing comeback

(CNN) - This time four years ago, Bristol Palin was promenading across the country as she campaigned for her mom's Republican vice presidential bid.

Now she's taking part in a different whirl–as a returning guest on ABC's "Dancing with the Stars."

With mom cheering alongside, Bristol took the stage Monday night with the show's "all-star" cast of former contestants. Bristol placed third when she competed on the series in the fall of 2010, another prime election season.

Sarah Palin, former Alaska governor and Sen. John McCain's 2008 running mate, sat in the front row to watch her daughter perform. The conservative firebrand also posted a photo of Bristol and Bristol's three-year-old son, Tripp, on Facebook Monday night.

"Tripp surprised his mama backstage at DWTS tonight," Sarah Palin wrote, urging supporters to call in and vote for her daughter.

While she hasn't been on the show for two years, Bristol has kept a high profile on other reality programs, including the TLC's "Sarah Palin's Alaska" and Lifetime's "Life's a Tripp."

In her first routine Monday, Bristol did the Cha Cha Cha with her same partner from 2010, Mark Ballas. The three judges praised the reality star for appearing more confident than her first season.

Other celebrities coming back to the show include actress Kirstie Alley, actress Pamela Anderson, singer Joey Fatone, Olympian Shawn Johnson, and former NFL star Emmitt Smith.

The stars return to the airwaves Tuesday night for part two of the season's premiere.

Why is everyone so angry that another person is achieving good things in life? Celebrating their good fortune might be a better way to find some good fortune for yourselves. Also, if you don't like the subject of an article, you are totally free not to read it.Seems to me the low life's are right here commenting. Why is

But yet you wasted your time to read the article, read the comments and make your very own comments spouting off about others instead if ignoring it. You're a Tool!

Hopefully Dancing with the stars judges will do an honest job and grade Ms Palin as a dancer, not as Sarah Palins daughter. Good luck to the other participants. Will be punished having to watch Palin for how many Mondays?

Betty: It's because she is "achieving good things" through no hard work, quality, or accomplishments of her own, but solely because of her mother's notoriety. It's a handout to someone because of their connections. Come on, Betty! That goes against everything the republicans stand for! Er...uh... thinking of Romney and his silver spoon...well, everything they SAY they stand for, anyway.

Betty – Sorry lady, but this is the Political Ticker, not TMZ. If you want to voice your support for a hypocritical teen brat of an idiot failed governor and VP candidate, do it elsewhere, it sickens those of us who have morals and intelligence.

We should be happy for her "good fortune"? What has she done? Seriously, being the spawn of a complete idiot qualifies her to be a "star"? Pathetic what we pander to sometimes.

I guess all the Tea Party people will be burning up the phones again. They are the people who allowed her to stick around as long as she did the 1st time. What a waste of time watching that show.

Leave Bristol Palin alone. She was a teen mom who has evolved into a sign mom that is moving forward with her life. Having her little guy there to watch was beautiful.

Keep up the good work Bristol--I know how hard it is at such a young age as I too was a teen mom. But the sky is the limit and you go girl!

What exactly qualifies Bristol Palin to be a contestant on Dancing with the Stars? Her sole claim to fame is being the daughter of a failed Vice Presidential candidate who fathered an illegitimate child. Got to love this country.

To prolong Bristols fifteen minutes of fame, she should get preggers while dancing with the stars, all of them.
Heck, why not toss in Sarah also, she apparently had such a reputation in Wasilla along with Levi`s mom,and Rush Limbaugh.
Old Rush, Sarah, Ms. Johnston ( levi's mom ) Bristol and Levi had quite a " wang dang doodle " of a good time smoking Meth and Oxy-Condon, ( hill billy heroin ) while Todd was racing around on his " snow machine " as Sarah called it.
