Obama may be a job creator after all

NEW YORK (CNNMoney) - Republicans may soon lose a key talking point. According to data released Thursday, President Obama may now be a net job creator.

In the year following Obama's inauguration, the U.S. economy lost about 4.3 million jobs. But new figures released Thursday show 4.4 million jobs have been added back since then.

Obama may be a job creator after all
BWAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! And it ONLY took him FOUR YEARS to get us back there!! And with 4 more years, we'll be EIGHT YEARS BEHIND where we should be!! Actually further if you factor in the coming Obama recession from his massive tax increases.

Mitt Romney created more net jobs in Massachusetts as Governor than Obama created in all 50 states as President. The unemployment rate in Massachusetts dropped while Mitt Romney was Governor. All of this while turning a deficit into a surplus. And Mitt Romney did all of this as bipartisan efforts. Obama does not work with Republicans.

All in all, and if you heard his speeches about how the #s he is posting now (before they were unacceptable Obamas own words) he hasnt done anything but try to play catch-up. When Mr Romney went to Israel < Obam followed sending money, when Mr Romney talked about China< Obama finally registered a complaint. I just dont see how this leadership. I find it embarassing having such a shallow person lead this once great country. Be excusing Obama of his duties I think America can be great again.

Wow! Awesome! Again, could you imagine what he could have done with the balanced budget and surplus Bill Clinton left office with. Osama bin Laden is dead and GM is alive!

Wow ... what convenient statistics to surface ... and, only 40 days before the election. I don't trust any of the stats, or polls which are being pushed these days. Obama has already shown that he will say, or do ANYTHING to hold onto power ... and, the biased, partisan, corrupt main steam media will help him do it ... every step of the way.

And now... the rest of the story.

That would be a net increase of 100,000 jobs, 44 months into his administration. That comes out to an eye-popping 2300 jobs per month. So far, so good, Barry. Now let's see... you spent $800 Billion in a "stimulus" (riiiiiiiiggghhhhhtttt) to get us those 100,000 jobs. That's "only" $8 Million per job. Got it.

Heckuva job, Barry... one heckuva job.

Imagine where we would be if Mitt Romney followed George W. Bush, doubling down on the same failed policies. We probably would still be losing 700,000 jobs per month. To double down on trickle down would be insanity – it would be takiing a chance that this would be the first time trickle down would work.

  12. Obama - I've created 100,000 in four years, I deserve re-election, you OWE ME

And if you give him another four years, he will guarantee at least another 100,000.

Of course, the economy needs at least 3 million jobs a year to keep up with poulation growth and then there are the 12-25 million unemployed or under employed people.

So 100,000 jobs created when 24-37 MILLION were needed.

Yes, he deserve to be re-elected, dog catcher, not President.

  13. Fact

Wow! Awesome! In just 3 and half years. And this was done with a Republican congress who said "No!" to everything President Obama put forth. Can you imagine how well off we would be if they had actually decided to work with The President of The United States even a little?

given the mess left by the republicans and the corporate special interests, hope and change require some time. But its coming along, slowly but surely. Don't forget Enron, The mortgage scandal, The Bp oil spill, the Bank Bail out, all precipitated by republican and "conservative" elimination of regulations. Don't forget the cost of the wars, that accomplished little except DEBT. The Republicans are not the answer

When economy hit skids before 2008 election, companies started hording cash. THey were waiting out the economy. When economy blood letting had stopped, employers turned to automation.

No pay or benefits for robots!!

Largest amount of automation since 2008, contributing to less jobs regained.

it only took four years because the republican policies created such a huge recession, now you want to put back those exact same policies. why would any rational person expect that to work?

Awwww...isn't that cute? They're trying to use the net number against him as if he was responsible for the jobs lost during the freefall that started before he was inaugurated as a result of GOP policies. Well, at least with misinformation flailing like that, they'll have themselves tuckered out for a nap in no time.

The GOP crapped on America's carpet. Period. Obama's cleaning it up. Period. Just because we still need to shampoo the rug doesn't mean progress hasn't been made. It's the GOP's fault the stain is there in the first place. Unfortunately, the GOP is an old dog that refuses to be house broken, so we may have to keep them out back by the woodshed from now on.

The proof is in the pudding. Bush made this mess, and Obama has cleaned it up. End of story! We move FORWARD from here, not backwards.

If Republicans would open a history book to what happened after the great depression of last century they would see that by doing what is happening in Europe (cut, cut, cut) The depression worsened, and it took stimulation of the economy to begin it growing in earnest once more. Look at Europe now, they will be in recession for a decade because the Germans won't use a mixture of budget cutting and selected stimulation. The bill to help farmers, the infrastructure stimulus both would have helped our economy, but the Republicans scream about adding to the deficit but want to keep tax cuts for the wealthy. The Republicans have no credibility when they fight for tax breaks for millionaires, big oil and do it by cutting programs that help the poor, children and the elderly. Is this the Christian morals they keep talking about, because I don't remember Jesus kicking the poor out and helping the money changers. I believe it was the other way around.
