New York (CNNMoney) - President Obama vetoed the acquisition of four wind-farm companies in the U.S. by a Chinese-owned firm on Friday, citing national security concerns.
The companies' projects are all located near a U.S. military site in Oregon, the Naval Weapons Systems Training Facility Boardman, the Treasury Department said in a statement.

Let me guess....Romney will be screaming about "restraint of trade", then we'll find out he invested in the Chinese company.
The President's action demonstrates the Administration's commitment to protecting national security while maintaining the United States' longstanding policy on open investment,"

I'll co-sign that. Good thinking. Too close for comfort. What if China decides to sell it to another country?
Keep America around American military facilities, so to speak.
Now that's how you get tough with China. Not by outsourcing jobs to them.
Obama/Biden 2012
Mittens will condemn the president's action, because what is more American to Mitt than allowing China access to our military bases?
Way to go Mr. President. I still do not understand why on earth some Americans think this president is the worst ever. The same people were quiet when President Bush was taking us to war against Irak. We spent almost two bilions $$ per month for years just because a couple of friends wanted to get richer.
Seems like a sound decision to me. National security risk is as good a reason as any.
Next time one of you teapubs say the Pres is not being tough on China...consider me flipping you the bird and telling you to eat crow!!!!
That's called standing up to China Willard. Take notes! Oh, my bad. You invested in CNOOC.
bet Romney will gave China ok to build here just like he outsource american jobs to China.
Romney is flip flopping on everything.
And Romneys speech says he'll give foriegn aid to companies producing products for people right here in good ole U.S.A.,was I the only one that got that or did it go over everyone's heads!!I'm glad Pres.Obama said no to selling off more to China, let them build their own wind farms plants, they're just being nosey that's all.Stay in China ,we don't need anymore of your crap,at least not me!!!
Another good move on my President (Obama) part...............what will those TRIFLIN repuks spu outta mouth on this?
I wouldn't have minded as long as they promised in a legally enforceable way to have doubled the jobs those companies have here in the US making the wind turbines.
Why don't T.Boone Pickens sell off his Chinese wind farm products crap,he's got plenty because he fell on his ass not buying our American made stuff for theirs and nobody wanted them, nice try though!!!That's your Swift Boat guy, remember Pickens ads about Kerry, nice Texas jackel ha!!
Tonight on Faux Noise for the delusional: "Obama attacks green energy."
Yeah.....too bad it took Obama 3.5 years to be tough on China, Just in Time for Election Season!!! I wonder if Obama took business courses in JIT....
WFor the record, President Obama is still working full time, while able to campaign. That's how good he is. He makes it look easy, but it requires a lot of work. Gov. Romney's only activity, by contrast, is campaigning for years with a huge budget (donations), but mix results. Even Ryan is voting in Congress. Sorry, I just get upset when the extreme right attack President Obama when he repaired the almost un-repairable economy. The President is a job creator and has resisted the bullies for years with grace (remember members of Congress shouting out during The State of The Union Address or the Governor of Arizona pointing her finger in the face of "The President"). God Bless President Obama's patience, tenacity, reslience, and vision to give all Americans a fair opportunity to be successful.
