Ann Romney to rally while Obama preps for debate across town
(CNN) - When President Barack Obama heads to Henderson, Nevada, on Sunday for several days of debate preparations, the campaign trail won't be far behind him.
Ann Romney, the wife of GOP presidential nominee Mitt Romney, will hold a rally on Monday in the city, her husband's campaign announced Saturday.

Two recent polls of the state have found Romney and Obama in a dead heat. The NBC News/Wall Street Journal/Marist poll released Thursday found the candidates separated by two points, 49% to 47%, while the CNN/ORC International poll released a week earlier found a three point difference, 49% to 46%. Both margins are within the polls' respective sampling errors.
Obama heads to the Silver State on Sunday, first holding an afternoon rally in Las Vegas. He will stay in Henderson on Monday and Tuesday, the White House said, before attending the first presidential debate with Romney on Wednesday in Denver.
The president was off the campaign trail at the White House on Saturday. Romney had announced no public events either and was at his home in Belmont, Massachusetts.
Henderson is a city of 260,000 and southeastern suburb of Las Vegas.

Ann Romney does more harm than good, each time she opens her big mouth. I have never in my lifetime, seen two people who manage to insult some group of the American people each time they open their mouths. Everytime she steps out on the national stage, she confirms what most of us already know, and that is, she's speaking as a rich, financially secure housewife, whose been sheltered and doesn't know anything outside of "HER" world. Please Ann tell us what it's like to get up everyday and go to work, with children and a house to run. Please tell us how to do that WITHOUT the use of maids, nannies, cooks, waiters, golden healthcare and millions in the bank. I, and MANY others, await that conversation, in the meantime, please excuse me while I go back to cleaning up my house on this beautiful Saturday afternoon.
All honest patriotic Americans and all honest and forthright people of this universe please listen and listen clearly. We all have watched the polls from Pennsylvania show Obama leading in poll after poll, yet good old out of touch with reality Romney said again that he will surely win the state of Pensylvannia. Do they have access to some weird polling that we do not have or are they poised to rig election just like they did in Ohio 2004? Or better yet cheat their way through by suppressing votes ie the ridiculous I'd which the courts find as such or registering voters who have long passed on or tearing. up voters register who are not GOP members or supporters. I guess their motor is if you can win Honestly cheat your way through. We are watching. We the people of this precious and great country. will not let it happen. Everyone matters Every VOTE matters. It must be accepted and be counted. God bless America.
The "Stepford Wife" speaks... Maybe she'll tell us about the difficulties of getting the help to clean the mansions or trying to manage a dressage horse. Those are important issues with the 1%... not so much with the 47% Romney considers parasites.
Perhaps one of the Romneys can explain why they support and welcome the independent pacs which have raised millions upon millions of dollars from donors who wish to remain anonymous to produce and run ads in their favor. This money is over and above the money directed to their campaign.
When you look at the dollar figure you might realize that the GOP will spend whatever they believe to be necessary to win or buy this election. Why do we accept this and why aren't we letting them know this is outrageous. Much of the money comes from ceo's of major corporations. They, of course, are receiving huge salaries while their companies are either laying off people or sitting idle. With a little ingenuity they might have found ways to help their laid off workers. They are donating to these pacs and do not have to have identified. Do they refuse to stand up and be counted much as owners did before World War II. In the USA we hope that people will stand up and be counted adn not stand behind a veil of secrecy.
Wonder if she'll take reporters questions about her comments in an interview last Thursday:
"I have all the confidence in the world in his ability, in his decisiveness and his leadership skills, in his understanding of the economy, in his understanding of what's missing right now in the economy – you know, pieces that are missing to get this jumpstarted," she continued. "So for me I think it would just be the emotional part of it" and added "my biggest concern is for my husband's mental well-being when in the White House."
These are curious and troubling comments. What does Ann know that the voters don't?
Can you imagine this woman in the White House? All the White house staff would simply quit.
