Judge set to rule on controversial Pennsylvania voter ID law

Philadelphia (CNN) - A Pennsylvania judge is expected to rule Tuesday whether or not to uphold a new state law requiring every voter to present a photo ID at the polls.

Supporters argue that the law signed in March by Republican Gov. Tom Corbett will prevent voter fraud and is upheld by the constitution. But opponents counter that the new law will disenfranchise voters, and any implementation should be postponed until after the November 6 presidential election.

Republicans are not worried about voter fraud; they are worried about too much voter participation that does not favor Mittens. The GOP's bold move to suppress the vote should give decent Americans pause to worry. Supposed in the next election cycle, the GOP decides that they don't want too many women voting? The GOP is the enemy of democracy.

Ya we wouldn't want to stop either illegals or at the least irresponsible and likely uninformed people from voting? Seriously who doesn't have an id? How do you operate in this country without being able to show who you are? I'm sure most every legal immigrant has an id and functions in normal society? This would encourage some people to join the rest of us in the real world. Regardless of your race if you don't have an id to prove your legit your prob not legit and shouldn't vote. Imo

Why is this controversial people? Get your wallet out of your back pocket and show them your ID. How hard is that? Why is that an issue?

Well, we will see about this law later, but now–just take I.d from state DMV for only 15 dollars or so, it is not driver license–it is an i.d. Show it and vote direct Democratic ticket and make sure tick on Obama12. Good luck and god bless.
