Biden to stump in Ryan's backyard after debate

Washington (CNN) – Where will Vice President Joe Biden go to rally supporters in his first campaign event after Thursday's vice presidential debate?

To Paul Ryan's backyard.

On Tuesday, the Obama campaign announced that Biden will stump in Wisconsin on Friday after his face-off with the Republican vice presidential nominee in Danville, Kentucky. Biden will be joined by his wife, Jill Biden.

The choice of location is noteworthy.

If Biden is the perceived winner of the Thursday match up, the Wisconsin event could serve as a symbolic victory rally, of sorts, for Obama supporters on the opponent's home turf. Ryan is a seven-term congressman from the Badger state.

Alternately, a perceived Biden loss to Ryan in the debate could prove an embarrassing choice of location and further the storyline of an Obama campaign reeling after a widely panned performance by President Obama against Mitt Romney in last week's first presidential debate.

Though CNN previously rated Wisconsin as "leaning Obama," the state – with its 10 electoral votes – is now seen as a "toss up" on CNN's Electoral Map following Ryan's selection as Romney's running mate.

Good for Joe. Wisconsin will be happy to have him. Maybe he can make a side trip to Burlington to see Paul Ryan enshrined in the Liars Club Hall of Fame...

Well, this will be fun. Biden will embarrass himself in the debate then spend Friday delivering Wisconsin solidly over to the red column. Looking forward to it.

Between the circus with the state budget, state supreme court election, governor recall, and Obama visits, Wisconsin is quickly becoming a political quagmire. Most people in Wisconsin can't wait for the elections to be over so we can get back to a normal life. Now we have to have Biden showing up too? Good grief.

btw: for all you media announcers.. its pronounced, WISS con sin. Not WEHS con sin Just think of "swiss" cheese.. Wiss con sin.. got it?

WisCheezRules........your cheese is good, but it's your beer that I've always been impressed with. You have more breweries up there than you can shake a stick at, and it's all good stuff. And I'm afraid you may never go back to normal up there.......your state has been turned into a political circus, with your governor being the biggest clown until Ryan got picked for he is the king of the bigtop. Biden will do no harm up there.......he'll have a couple of beers with the guys and move on. Walker and Ryan have to live with them a little longer. Enjoy.

  9. The REAL Truth...

@Borderless – Joe Biden. Always good for a laugh.
And he'll be sharing his laughter with WISSconsin on Fri am... after Ryan get's his come-uppance in the debate. So why is Ryan campaigning to retain his seat again? Might be so that he can continue to feed off the public teat (like he has done his entire adult life) after he/willard get trounced in Nov?? Good luck with that... Ryan needs a real job.. we should have plenty.. 12 million over the next four yrs according to the GAO – which is where Mittens (the Twit) got HIS number.. not an original idea between them.

Wisconsin must be full of beer to get Uncle Joe to visit. Not that he has a drinking problem or anything like that...

Ok, clearly CNN finds Biden's quotes so heinous that the moderators choose to delete them. I don't blame them. His comments are pretty ugly. Biden is a closet racist and has no place in politics, let alone as Vice President.

  15. The REAL Truth...

@Borderless – It is not voter surpression to ask for an id to vote! Quit whining!
Oh poor right winger... bwahahaha.. get over it. Who's whining??
Voter fraud is fundamentally a non-existent problem, and the GOP-led VoterID laws are PURELY intended to legally disenfranchise voter who mostly vote Dem. You can spin it any way you want, but that is FACT!
Let's take the reddest-of-red states... TX. The AG there (leader of the GOP Senate re-election committee BTW, so slight biased IMHO) is adamant that there is a voter fraud issue. The number counter that theory. 5 convictions out of some 52 cases filed over the last 10 yrs. None of those were by illegals or dead people voting. Most were by Republicans. It IS a GOP state. It's typical of GOP misinformation... with over 39 MILLION votes cast in TX during that 10 yrs that's a HUGE 0.00001%.. yeah, its a real problem.
Let's ignore that fact that the GOP itself is in hot water as it "turns out that a firm hired by the Republican National Committee may have been registering truly deceased Republicans to vote in Florida." So where's the problem?

They are keeping Biden off the campaign trail for SIX DAYS to prepare for this debate. Or is it to keep Crazy Joe from making more gaffes?! Either way, I'm sure Crazy Joe will be entertaining. Ryan will be no push over but he doesn't have anywhere near the debate experience of Biden. What he does have is an iron clad grip on the facts. If Biden tries his usual BS tactics, Ryan will be prepared to nail him to the wall.

Make sure you schedule some face time with Ryan's opponent for his seat in Congress and bring along a big fat check.
That way, when the the GOP loses the presidential election, hopefully Ryan can stay home or go over to K Street or to the Heritage Foundation or some other lie machine and put his skills to work.
