Obama: 'could not be prouder' of Biden debate

(CNN) - President Barack Obama called Vice President Joe Biden shortly after Thursday's vice presidential debate, and told reporters that he "could not be prouder" of his running mate.

"I'm going to make a special point of saying I thought Joe Biden was terrific," he told reporters after Air Force One landed near Washington. "I could not be prouder of him. I thought he made a very strong case. And you know I really think that his passion for making sure that the economy grows for the middle class came through so I'm really proud of him."

It is highly unusual for Obama to approach reporters in this fashion after deplaning.

Obama also posted a tweet to his official Twitter feed after the debate.

"Tonight proved once again that you won't find a better and more tireless advocate for the middle class than @JoeBiden. -bo #TeamJoe," he wrote.

Obama was to watch at least part of the debate while flying back from Florida, where he held an earlier campaign fundraiser in Miami.

It's no surprise that Obama is proud of Biden's debate – he didn't screw up and mention things that Obama is going to have to back-peddle on... Other than throwing the Lybian Consullate problems entirely on Central Intelligence – And then stating that the same Central Intelligence is 100% covering IRAN's weapons status'... Honestly the best that Obama could hope for was to stand pat. Since King Obama believes himself above questioning by the general public, he see's no threat from Ryan. Which proves Obama a bigger fool than I previously thought...

The thing I remember about the debate was the snideness, the insulting horse teeth choppers of Joe Biben as he snarkily sneered, and the endless interruption of Old Plugs Biden as he butted in again and again. I guess if you don't the intellectual superiority and basis in reality to overcome your opponent then guffaw and play the attack idiot heehawing and finger pointing. Biden spun away the lie about the Benghazi Massacre not being a terrorist attack and that they just didn't know as to why the narrative was so wrong for so long. Hillary Clinton is reponsible for securing necessary security for all embassies, the Ambassador asked for support and was refused and rebuked. He was told it is not needed or affordable. Obama should've taken 50K from the 1 billion dollars to Egypt or "Pokistan" as Oboobo says to protect our peple and property overseas. They knew in real time it was an attack and not merely a protest. When it the last time you took your mortars and RPG's to a protest? Demwits...Liars all.

I am disappointed in the debate, Biden was like a rude mule showing off his new teeth.
And was supported by a liberal moderator who asked Biden questions than helped him answer them.
Than rudely interrupted Ryan . This whole debate was a farce .

Vice President Biden owned this debate! Even schooling the moderator, for good measure!

Unfortunately the media and low-information (clueless uneducated) voters are seemingly easily impressed by LYING con men. They need to value the FACTS a little more.

    Biden wins. Hands down.

    Facts > Lies

Wow, somebody flunked kindergarten! Would Obama be proud if his girls acted like that, let alone the VP of the USA? Joe could be the poster child for rudeness and bullying.

Obama is proud of the way Biden presented himself in the debate? Disturbing!

Biden was defensive, rude, condescending and very unprofessional. An attempt to hide his ineptness perhaps?

I was an undecided voter prior to the debate. This made my choice easy, go Romney-Ryan!

"Crazy Uncle Joe" was rude and condecending. In regards to his laughing, I have seen Laywers employ this tactic in court when they have a weak case. They laugh and shake their head trying to influence the jury or in this case the American people. Nice try Joe. It won't work!

Biden is a likable guy , unfortunately he and Oboma had their shot to turn this economy around and it has NOT happened. The Obama administration over promises and under delivers. Time for Romney and Ryan.

If your proud of rude and butting in behavior then I guess you can be proud of that showing. If you care about jobs, family, war, unemployment, and taxes, I guess your reaction is to laugh and roll your eyes too. Out of touch is Grumpy Joe.

CNN, is tring to control this election cycle! Joe Biden was the clear winner! Paul Ryan told more lies, so he took home "the Lyin Ryan award!" Joe Biden was aggressive, he was his own fact checker (I guess that oes not set well with CNN, Foxnews) I think the mediai is trying to make this a close election, because the aggressiveness and tone use by Robme was called leadership and command and Joe Biden being called ovely aggressive and rude! WELL, CNN ITS NOT GOING TO WORK NEITHER YOUR PANDERING WITH RIGHTWING NUTS! OBAMA WILL WIN!
