Obama expected to 'come out swinging' at Tuesday's debate

Washington (CNN) - After near-universal bad reviews of his first presidential debate with Mitt Romney, President Barack Obama will bring more energy and passion to his second showdown with the GOP nominee, advisers to the president said Sunday.

Yet the come-out-swinging attitude many Democrats crave could be hindered by the debate's town hall format, which requires a likability factor not completely compatible with aggressive attacks.

Dan the republican house filibustered every piece of legislation he attempted the first 2 years following mcconnell's orders to see that president Obama failed no matter what. Look it up.

OBAMA, BIDEN. and AXELROD, excuse their mishandling of the Libya debacle, by blaming the intelligence community for failing to provide proper and timely information ... George Bush invaded Iraq, based on improper intelligence regarding WMD's in Iraq's arsenal ... however Obama, Biden, and Axelrod never accepted that excuse ... in fact, they crucified George Bush for FOUR YEARS, ad nauseum, in response to his using that explanation.

I am writing on behalf of a few elders. They are wondering why Americans cannot see that Romney changes his positions according to polls 's favorbility on all issues, even during the debate with President Obama which caught the President by surprise. They wonder why people make a big hoo ha on the supposedly "flip flop" by John Kerry on one issue and here, so many changes have taken place on Romney's stands and Romney keeps resetting his stand and yet, people believe in him. And all his flip flops are so blatant. They asked me, " We, Americans do not value INTEGRITY and standing by one's principles anymore? If we have a leader who has no principles and no integrity, what kind of role model do our younger generation get? What world allies and leaders will trust us (like in wars) , respect us or work with us?". I too wonder .....

Republicans claiming Obama has run a negative campaign????? Republicans????
This is somewhat like George Lincoln Rockwell saying you are a racist. For those of you who know nothing of history, GLR was the leader of the American Nazi Party, a white supremacist organization, famous for two things. He was interviewed for Playboy and he insisted that his interviewer not be a Jew. Playboy sent Alex Haley and the money they paid him allowed him to take the time to finish his novel "Roots".
Like Republicans calling the opposition "Negative" and the above example are bothdefinitions of "Irony". Another word the average Republican will have to Google.

Bottom line Obama has to do better in this second debate. Its form and content allow a couple of huge sound bite scores ( Town Hall which will contain a lot of the 47%) on many fronts.Romney ad's recently push on debt and deficit are grossly inaccurate, look at CBO data.
The latest projections of 2011/2012 deficit are lower actually by about $200bn
And it is not true that the Obama budget projections or debt projections are in line with Romneys stated figures .
The next 4 years do not have trillion dollar budget deficits. Check it out folks on google. OMB budget estimatesTables S1 and S3 and CBO Table 3 re baseline deficits.Obama numbers are OMB data.
Romneys numbers I am unable to find on any "independent" source.
Romney is going to make the international debate all about Benghazi and not supporting Israel or too weak on Iran
and That obama middle east policies have failed. The crunch is in his latest posting on this he is only huff and puff rhetoric away from the Obama policies. If he gets too strong on war with Iran he loses votes and the debate on foreign policy. See the Intelligence squared debates on Islamic democracy or dictatorship within Republican circles.

Dan, that's not quite true. During O's first two years, the Dems didn't have enough seats to prevent Rep filibusters. So, every piece of legislation that was presented by Dems was met with unprecedented filibustering by Republicans. Those are the facts. Feel free to look them up. Say what you'd like, but the republicans have been obstructionists since Obama's first day in office.

People should think about the policies behind the candidates. The Republicans did nothing but obstruct everything President Obama tried to do. If they had helped him instead of hurt the people of this country and the country itself by trying to make him a one term President from night one in that restaurant on inauguration night, we would have been way ahead. Paul Ryan was one of them there and Eric Cantor, Newt Gingrich. Also we do not need another war , where Romney seems to want to go to show he is tough. That"s stupid. We need someone with a cool head and a brilliant strategic strategy. Romney has failed several times on this already. We need the man who has a strategy in all categories and needs four more years to straight the ship. (without obstruction).
