Romney: Obama's 'running on fumes'
Chesapeake, Virginia (CNN) - Mitt Romney renewed his criticism of President Obama in his first appearance after Tuesday's contentious presidential debate, and accused his rival of not having a plan for a second term in office.
But the GOP presidential nominee did not mention Tuesday night's skirmish over Libya that has dominated much of the coverage of the debate.

On a sunny afternoon in Chesapeake, Virginia, Romney told an audience of several thousand the president was focused on attacking him instead of offering his own agenda.
"Don't you think that it's time for him to finally put together a vision of what he'd do in the next four years if he were elected?" Romney said, the day after the two men clashed in the second presidential debate at Hofstra University in New York. "I mean, he's got to come up with that over this weekend because there's only one debate left, on Monday."
Romney ticked through questions he said the president had avoided answering during the debate, including on immigration reform, the jobs market, and gas prices.
"I think it's pretty clear that when it comes to his policies and his answers and his agenda, he's pretty much running on fumes," Romney quipped, telling voters they had 20 days left to make a choice about America's future.
However, the Republican candidate did not address the foreign policy issue that became a flashpoint Tuesday night, when Obama and Romney clashed over the administration's handling of the attack on the US Consulate in Benghazi last month.
During the debate, Romney charged Obama had fumbled the response to the killings of four Americans in Libya. Obama fired back at Romney and accused him of politicizing the issue.
And after a night in which Democrats felt they had scored on women's issues, in Virginia Romney made a concerted effort to reach out to independent female voters.
"This president has failed America's women," Romney told the audience. "As I go across the country and ask women what can I do to help, what they speak about day in and day out is help me find a good job, or a good job for my spouse. And help my kid, make sure my children have a bright future, better schools and better job opportunities."
"That's what the women of America are concerned about and the answers are coming from us and not from Barack Obama," Romney said.

Romney's plans for the next 4 years are the same economic plans we've been running under for 30 years. Cut taxes heavily favored for the wealthy and hope it trickles down to the rest of us. All it does is funnel more money to the people who already have most of it. Nothing new to see here.

Local TV news had a camera crew at a local 'Romney Rally' in Woodstock, GA, last weekend (lots of conservative republicans around).
Since the crew was there, the station ran the story: "Dozens show up for Romney Rally". It was hilarious. All the empty benches. Even the supporters that showed up looked lost: What are we doing here??

You're toast governer. One undecdied voter said it best on CNN...and I generally dontl like CNN. What she got from the debate is that Romney is NOT A GOOD LISTENER. I saw a condescending man who became testy when thigns did not go his way which was the whole debate. This man is used to talking down to people. Women need to sit up and take a listen. If you do not decide for yourself, Romney will decide for you.
For somone who keeps asking Romney for specifics at least we know what Obama stands for, four more years of the same: inept bumbling of every issue, wasteful spending, scandals and coverpups, failed foreign policy, coddling of radical Islam, increased debt, more people on unemployment or out of work with no hope for a future and a healthcare plan that is unsustainable unless those of us who work continue to pay for those who don't because they can't find any jobs. Yes, he sure has done a great job. Instead of badmouthing Ann Romney who isn't running for office maybe you bleeding heart liberals could bash your boy in the White House for the absolutely horrible job he has done. Is he the best we can hope for as Americans? Someone incapable of solving economic issues and unfit to lead our nation? I don't think so. One of my favorite moments... when Mitt the Twit scolded Obama for not stating the Benghazi embassy attack was a terror attack the day after the attack. He was so sure Obama did not call it a terror attack, and stared at Obama with such intense anger saying, where's the tape? Obama said run the tape. Then Candy stepped in and confirmed Obama did in fact call it a terrorist attach the next day. Mitt the Twit looked like a deer caught in the headlights.
