(CNN) - Former President Bill Clinton described on Friday analysis of the presidential debates as a distraction, and said the Republicans - including presidential nominee Mitt Romney - are playing "hide and seek" with their proposals.
As the presidential campaign enters it's final stretches, voters tuned in this month by the millions to see and evaluate the candidates. The second presidential debate - held on Tuesday - was watched by over 65.6 million people, according to a Nielsen rating, which said that some 67.1 million watched the first debate held on October 3.

Daytona Beach, Florida (CNN) - Mitt Romney sought to blunt a new attack by President Obama during an energetic Florida rally Friday, and accused his rival’s team of running “the incredible shrinking campaign.”
“They have absolutely no agenda for the future. No agenda for America. No agenda for a second term,” Romney told an audience in a sprawling outdoor shopping complex in Daytona Beach. “It's a good thing they won't have a second term.”

(CNN) - The Republican National Committee outraised the Democratic National Committee in September, documents filed with the Federal Election Commission on Friday showed.
The RNC brought in $48.4 million in the month, while the DNC raised $20.2 million.

(CNN) - President Barack Obama's re-election campaign released a new television ad Friday in the crucial swing state of Ohio, highlighting Mitt Romney's opposition to the so-called auto bailouts.
The 30-second spot, "Made In Ohio," features voters whose jobs were in danger during the 2008 auto crisis.

But the news is not all rosy. Unemployment rates in Colorado, Nevada, New Hampshire and North Carolina all have higher rates than when President Barack Obama took office in January 2009.

(CNN) – The Salt Lake Tribune announced in an editorial published Friday its endorsement of President Barack Obama for the 2012 race, questioning the "pragmatic, inclusive" former Massachusetts governor's change into Republican nominee Mitt Romney.
"The president has earned a second term. Romney, in whatever guise, does not deserve a first," the Utah newspaper said in the editorial.

(CNN) - A new poll of those who watched Tuesday's presidential debate shows results largely in line with the CNN/ORC International survey of debate watchers conducted the night of the matchup.
Gallup found debate watchers thought President Barack Obama performed significantly stronger this week than he did in his first debate. In a 13-point split, 51% said Obama won and 38% gave the win to Republican challenger Mitt Romney. One in 10 said neither candidate won.
