Unemployment falls in seven swing states

New York (CNNMoney) - Unemployment declined in 41 states in September, seven of which are key battlegrounds in the election. But falling unemployment rates don't necessarily point to improvement.

Ohio, which has 18 electoral votes up for grabs, saw its unemployment rate decline to 7% in September, down from 7.2% just a month earlier. While hiring has picked up slightly in the state, unemployment is mostly falling for the wrong reasons.

This means nothing...this is a derived number. The question is: are there more people working, or less people? The answer is: less people have jobs.

The headline should read, "In spite of GOP efforts, unemployment falls in seven swing states." .

The republicans just refuse to accept any poll, or report that does not favor them, even if it is well needed. i think that speaks volumes. we need someone who wants to move this ahead, first, then worry about partisanship later

Romney will definately win Ohio. Obama care and the overall economy sank Obama. Gas was 1.89 when Bush left office. No need to continue.

Does anyone really believe that 814,00 jobs magically appeared?

No , the market is slowly coming back up , the housing market had is best report in five years ..
And if the Do nothing congress would do there job , it would rebound at a faster rate.

What you need to ask yourself Mr Shshshaw is why our jobs magically disappeared under GW Bush ?

They didn't , it was because of Bush's policies and unpaid wars we ended up in a deep hole filed with poop !

Now you want me to vote for Mitt Romney , 80% of Romney's advisers worked for GW BUSH .

    Ask Karl Rove !

    No Thanks , I bought a car from him back in 2000 , it was a leman , a dud , couldn't give it away !

Maybe you would buy it ?

So Dean, how is the sand down there? your head must be buried deep. obama and his grand conspiracies, he got all the reporting polls corrupted? wow, if he's that good maybe you should have recruited him into the gop. oh thats right he's black. gop'ers are in a world of their own it seems. i have not heard one positive comment on any good news, its all fabricated if it favors obama, and gospel if it makes him look bad.. shameless, i would feel sorry for you if i didnt know you would eat your young for the presidency.

Big Oil supports Romney , Big oil will talk all your money as long as you give it to them.

Do you remember GW Bush Enron , the 2000 elections , how they jacked up energy prices in California before the elections.

Look it up , it's funny how they manipulate good people such as you and me.

Oil companies don't want to loose the government subsidies , and Romney will ingress them if elected .

Why do people on the right hate good news for the health of our country? It is a shame they have become more about their party than country.

The mother of an American diplomat killed during a terrorist raid on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi has hit out at Barack Obama for describing the attack as 'not optimal', saying: 'My son is not very optimal – he is also very dead.'

During an interview shown on Comedy Central, Obama responded to a question about his administration's confused communication after the assault by saying: 'If four Americans get killed, it’s not optimal.'

Speaking exclusively to MailOnline today, Pat Smith, whose son Sean died in the raid, said: 'It was a disrespectful thing to say and I don't think it's right
