Sioux City, Iowa (CNN) – Mitt Romney running mate Rep. Paul Ryan said the presidential race “is within our grasp” but pleaded with Iowa voters for their help during two rallies held 16 days before Election Day.

The Republican vice presidential nominee spoke before energetic crowds of nearly 800 people in Sioux City and a similar-sized crowd in Council Bluffs on Sunday, the same day a new national poll was released that shows the race for the White House in a dead heat.

Libya, Iran likely to be main points of contention in final debate

(CNN) - While foreign policy became an unexpected pivotal point in last week's town-hall style presidential debate, Monday's final showdown will focus entirely on international affairs.

And with the U.S. government knee-deep in an investigation of its handling of the Benghazi consulate attacks and as reports emerge of planned negotiations with Iranian leaders, the topic could provide a pivot point in the tight race for the White House.

Hawaii: The state that doesn't vote

Lahaina, Hawaii (CNN) - Elle Cochran grew up far too enchanted by Maui's rocky coastline and beach-bum lifestyle to care a thing about politics and voting.

"You get up, work, go to the beach, sleep - and do it again," she said of life on this Hawaiian island, which, of course, is known for its surf. "It's just this routine."

(CNN) - With the election only two weeks away, both President Barack Obama and Republican nominee Mitt Romney are giving strong attention to the critical women's vote, and a CNN panel with CNN's Chief Political Correspondent Candy Crowley on Sunday's "State of the Union" looked at how both candidates were faring with women.

Referring to a recent Gallup poll showing Obama with only a one-point lead among likely swing-state female voters, Republican Rep. Cathy McMorris Rodgers of Washington said that Romney had "neutralized" the so-called gender-gap that Republican candidates usually have.
