Obama: The 'other guy' is a 'bulls***ter'

(CNN) - In an election that has produced new phrases like Romnesia and Obamaloney, President Barack Obama may have a new one for his Republican challenger that doesn't require any literary creativity: "bulls***ter."

The comment followed an interview with Rolling Stone magazine. The magazine's executive editor Eric Bates passed along a message from his six-year-old daughter who said to tell the president, "You can do it," regarding his re-election. Obama responded, "You know, kids have good instincts. They look at the other guy and say, 'Well that's a bulls***ter, I can tell.'"

The article will appear in the November 8 issue of the magazine.

Obama's recent barnyard-style comment is perhaps another signal that there is no love lost between the president and his current opponent, Mitt Romney.

In their four meetings during the election season, only the comedic Al Smith charity dinner broke the tension between the two candidates, which was palpable during their three presidential debates.

Presidential historian Douglas Brinkley who penned the article spoke about the President's comments on CBS' This Morning.

"We could go through [history] and find good and bad relationships, this is not one that has a whole lot of mutual respect." Brinkley said.

The term Brinkley said, is a translation of what Obama is already saying on the campaign trail.

"It's another part of Romnesia, I suppose," Brinkley said. "The working man's Romnesia is BS-er."

White House communications director Dan Pfieffer told reporters Thursday he hadn't seen the story but said people shouldn't get "distracted by the word," and should instead focus on the issue of trust that the president discusses on the stump.

But the Romney campaign said the comment is a sign the president is on his heels.

"President Obama is rattled and on the defensive," said Romney campaign senior adviser Kevin Madden. "He's running on empty and has nothing left but attacks and insults. It's unfortunate he has to close the final days of the campaign this way."

Romnesia is a term that might have first been coined by a Twitter user in March POLITICO reported, but has been co-opted by the Obama campaign and in the president's stump speeches to underscore the campaign's message that Romney flip-flops on his positions.

"If you can't seem to remember the policies on your website or the promises you've been making over the six years you've been running for president … Obamacare covers preexisting conditions, we can cure this disease," Obama told a crowd in Florida Monday.

Obamaloney has previously been used by Romney and his surrogates to criticize the president's plans and policies as not based in reality.

What he is saying is he doesn't understand a single thing Romney is saying. Because Obama is not smart enough get us out of this mess. "If I cannot do it with my raise taxes, nobody can" thought process. We do need someone else who think outside the box.

Review the President's record and judge him on the economy. When you do that, keep in mind how our government works. The President cannot put into place programs without cooperation for Congress. Mitch Mcconnell, Paul Ryan, and others got together and made a mandate that the NUMBER 1 PRIORITY WAS TO MAKE OBAMA A 1 TERM PRESIDENT. Not JOBS, bringing our troops home, or veteran benefits, but preventing any progress or compromise. That is SAD! So all of you "FOLKS" constantly bashing the President, think about that. Congess works for WE THE PEOPLE...but instead they work for their own political interests. the founding fathers are rolling in their graves!

That is no way for our President to talk in an interview about his opponent. That is just classless. Its a mockery of the presidency and the election process. If this is true he lost my vote.

It is good to see these FOXers reading other news reports. They may actually learn something, but I doubt it. There is a large percent of the population that would not vote for Obama if his performance included walking on water and changing water to wine. Vote responsibly not by your bigoted opinions.

I have recently had a chance to listen to what would likely be called "Reagan Democrats". They are NOW not fooled by "trickle down", "tax-cuts for job-creator" word salad. I can hear the 30 years woth of regret in their voives from backing Republicans. They are the ones calling Romney a bullsh __ t artist. The President is right on target and I suspect these "working-class" Americans will appreciate Mr. Obama`s plain speak.

I have to admit that while I don't like the term, merely calling Mr. Romeny a liar is really pretty pale given his completely fact free debating, campaigning and ads. It isn't like politicians are saints, but Romney is making all politicians look bad with his complete avoidance of the truth. He isn't helping whats left of the Republican brand at all.

Face it. It makes no difference what side of the aisle their on. Thet are all bulls***ters and liars. Think about it. Obama is a product of the "Chicago Machine." Being a liar is a pre-requisite to be a member of that organization.

    Truth-

Mr. Romney is simply too prissy for such language- although I'd love to hear his private commentary after the last two debates. Obama handed the man his head- several times.

I'm just wondering where all the outage is regarding all the names President Obama has been called??? Willard is a BSer, and he knows it, as do the top republicans that didn't want him in the first place.

BTW, CNN aka Romnesia central...... Why no story about Sensata, a company owned by Bain that is shutting down and sending the jobs to China?? Absolutely nothing but crickets. Willard tough on China...how? By paying his workers .50 per hour instead of $1?

America is better off now in all imaginable respects that it was in 2008. The economy is better. There are more jobs. Unemployment is lower. Terrorism is less of a threat. America is more respected by allies and rivals alike. The Healthcare system is substantially improved.

America would have been even better off if the Obstructionist Congress had not blocked almost everything Obama tried to do after 2010.

America is on the right course. America is half-way home.

When you are on the right course, you do not reverse course half-way.

Well it might be "inelegantly stated" but the President is right about governor Romney. If Romney is elected the wealthy will do very well. But if you are middle class or lw income and you choose Romney you will get exactly what you deserve for failing to make your choice on the basis of the facts. As Lincoln said "Yoi can fool some of the people all of the time.". It seems like that has been the Republican strategy since Ronald Regan began to transform the United States into the plutocracy it has become. Romney will surely finish the job and the vast majority of Americans will realize what life used to be like when we all paid higher taxes so our society as a whole could prosper. I remember when our schools and universities were the best in the world. Our roads and towns were well maintained. Our state and national parks were a source of pride. All of this was paid for with tax dollars. Working people had unions to protect them. Now the greed of the 1% is forcing the rest of us into indentured servitude. Mark me well, if Romney is elected we will all suffer, not onlu the fools that fellini for his BS.

Question: How is it possible that all these conservatives here get the same B_S list of "accomplishments"? Seriously, if they aren't posting and re-posting B_S, then they are spouting the talking points like Rush is really standing behind them doing all the talking.

A bunch of CEO's wrote a letter the other day, screaming at congress to basically raise taxes and cut spending....oh....and learn how to play nice together. Seeing as how house republicans wish to spend their "break" on holding hearings for political gain, I doubt anything will be done before next year.
