Obama video compares voting to losing virginity

(CNN) – Conservatives seemed to collectively gasp Thursday night when a web video from President Barack Obama's campaign slyly compared a person's first time voting to losing one's virginity.

The star of the video, Lena Dunham, created and stars in the HBO show "Girls." In the video, she appears in a close-up shot explaining the first time she voted.

"Your first time shouldn't be with just anybody," the actress and writer says. "You want to do it with a great guy."

The unspoken comparison continues, as Dunham describes what kind of "guy" she's talking about.

"It should be with a guy that really understands women," she says. "A guy who cares whether you get health insurance, specifically whether you get birth control. The consequences are huge. You want to do it with a guy who brought the troops out of Iraq. You don't want to do it with a guy who says, 'Hey I'm at the library studying,' when really he's out not signing the Lilly Ledbetter act."

At the end, the metaphor becomes even clearer: "My first time voting was amazing. There's a line in the sand. Before I was a girl, now I was a woman."

"I went to the polling station, I pulled back the curtain. I voted for Barack Obama," the video concludes.

Dunham, whose show on HBO centers around her character's life as a young woman in New York City, doesn't shy away from risqué topics. In a taped opening at this year's Emmys, she was featured completely nude, eating a cake on a toilet. HBO, like CNN, is owned by Time Warner.

Conservatives expressed consternation at the Obama campaign video, suggesting it was a step into the gutter for the incumbent Democrat.

"The more we talk about it in this campaign, the more insulting it is to women," Kellyanne Conway, a Republican strategist, said on CNN's "Piers Morgan Tonight."

"They can do the math. Not everything has to be about biology," Conway said.

The reaction was similar on Twitter.

As a woman, I am outraged by the analogy. For the party that allegedly cares about women, they have forever lost any chance of getting my vote. My friends are all equally outraged. Mr. President, are you vying for President of the United States or the president of a local fraternity. Get a grip and treat women with respect.

Take it for what it is. LEt's not get all bent our of shape over this video. There are too many important issues right now.Wish we would get as money comments about the fact that Mr. Romney made a lot of money with his mergers and take-overs of companies. All this happened while people working for the companies lost their jobs. No one seems to be upset about that fact and the Conservatives seem to love it.

Just who are we supporting here. Mr. Romney needs to explain how he will build jobs when his experience is at helping people to lose their jobs. Where were the people to cross train the workers. Where were the people to help these people to find work in other companies. If they did so the unemployment rate would not be so high.

Without going to political intricacies, - this is either intentional or unintentional plagiarism. Very similar add was running in RUSSIA, ~6 months ago. A much prettier girl is discussing with a doctor about her soon-coming First time and what kind of guy she wants to be with. The doctor describes the "ideal guy". Next shot she in front of a voting place with a huge poster."Putin. First time only by love". Place the following in youtube search Невинная девушка хочет первый раз

Obama is completely out of touch with America.
We need creditability and leadership in the Whitehouse again.

Some of you asked for the ad by the lady who was Roe in Roe v. Wade. Here it is: http://www.terryinthehouse.com
Norma McCorvey, the ‘Jane Roe’ in the Roe v. Wade abortion decision, released a new anti-Obama ad in Florida.

The anti-Obama ad contains graphic abortion images.
Lifesite News reported, via Free Republic:

Nearly 40 years ago, as a young, pregnant woman, Norma McCorvey played an instrumental part in the Supreme Court decision that brought legal abortion to America. Now McCorvey, the ‘Roe’ in the Roe v. Wade case, has released an ad urging voters not to vote for Obama.

McCorvey became a Christian in 1995 and has since repudiated her role in Roe v. Wade, campaigning for its reversal.

The ad is set to air in Florida. In her ad, McCorvey says the Roe v. Wade decision was based upon a “lie” and urges citizens to vote against Obama.

    The transcript:

“I’m Norma McCorvey, the former Jane Roe of the Roe vs. Wade decision that brought ‘legal’ child killing to America.

“I was persuaded by feminist attorneys to lie; to say that I was raped, and needed an abortion. It was all a lie.

“Since then, over 50 million babies have been murdered. I will take this burden to my grave.

“Please, don’t follow in my mistakes. DO NOT vote for Barack Obama. He murders babies.”

The ad concludes with Randall Terry saying: “I approve this message.”

The commercial also contains graphic abortion

YOU can pipe this filthy garbage into our homes, directly before OUR DAUGHTERS?! No, Mr. President, our daughter's do not need to "lose their voting virginity" to a married man, with two teenage daughters of his own, and who is three times their age! The mere thought is REPULSIVE
Didi you pop a blood-vessel? Because you will when your daughter surprises you with a "Guess Who's Coming to Dinner" scenario. We definitely see that in your future. Personally, I'm praying for it.
    What's REPULSIVE is YOU.

I love how the majority of Liberal voters use the same description for people who are registered republicans or Independents that decide to vote for the Republican. We are not all over 40, we are not all white, we are not all straight up religious nuts and some of us are actually gay.. Is it true all you liberals are thugs, welfare queens, lazy non-working-livin' off the system trash or marxist/communist hippy leftovers or brain washed college no-nothings...
Both sides are selling a narrative..Obama says he's for the middle class reality he wants to help the very poor and minority groups primarily-his agenda is leveling out the playing field with plans enacted underhandedly. The problem with his plan is the poor will remain poor and the rich will just have less...It won;t work But he sure created hate between the classes in 4 short years..He's just selling the socialist plan..with those revolutionary tones..The rich have too much blah blah blah and Romney is interested in helping get jobs because that is what he knows-business and economics. He will probably go easy on the rich but hey they employ most of us and already pay the majority of taxes. Obamacare was a good idea but it wasnt Obama's and they stuffed it full of things that are over reaching and over-taxing and unrelated to healthcare..It needs to be completely re worked. By taking from your rich neighbor you'll be temporarily better of but in the long run it won't matter. We need to focus on the country as a whole and not dividing us all into groups. We really are NOT better off after 4 years... This Indy is going Romney/Ryan #stopthehate

Now now...you're giving him the vapors....you know darn well his daughter would never bring one of "them" home. Besides, she'll probably end up bringing another woman.

Hahahaa. I love the conservatives on this thread pretending to be outraged. If President Obama had reminded young people to eat their vegetables and study hard in school you people would STILL be outraged. LOL I am pretty sure your kids aren't as upset about this as you are. And no, this is not about race. It is about relating to young Americans. Race is another subject See: Sununu's interview with Piers Morgan. Of course no white would vote for any old white guy USA, right? Right? 🙂

Where is the story about Donald Trump and his outrageous announcement? I am far more concerned about his total lack of intellect. Is he having a breakdown? Has this election caused him to lose a little sanity? I know he thinks he should be president.

Every time he opens his mouth we cringe. We never know what to think about him except that he is definitely losing it. Hope his family gets him some help.

Yeah, voting for OBozo would be like losing your virginity... Like losing your virginity to an axe murderer who was chopping off your body parts as he raped you.

Not that OBozo is actually interested in *females*... Just do a Google search on "Obama Down Low" and you'll see what I mean...
