Kasich: Romney will win Ohio

(CNN) – Ohio Gov. John Kasich said Sunday that he believes Mitt Romney will win Ohio, a crucial battleground state for the election.

"I believe right now we are currently ahead. Internals show us currently ahead. I honestly think that Romney is going to carry Ohio. And you know I haven't been saying this. I now believe its going to happen," Kasich, a Republican, said on NBC's "Meet the Press."

A CNN/ORC International survey released Friday showed President Barack Obama with a 4-point edge over Romney, 50% to 46%, in the state. That margin is within the poll's sampling error.

Beyond winning Ohio, Kasich said Romney should win handily on election night and the nation will know who their next president will be.

"The independent voters are trending heavily towards Mitt Romney and with those numbers, like that, it pretty well assures me we're going to know," Kasich said. "I'm not sure the election is going to be as close as what everybody is talking about today. And I'm not saying that to do spin. I'm telling that because that's what I really do believe."

To Anti-anonymous: The "latest" poll you are referring to was taken 5-10 days back. Newer polls show different stuff. In any case, good luck. I have watched entire GOP primary and three debates. I could not figure out one thing that Romney stands for. Thus I figured out, this guy stands for nothing. I am not a big fan of Obama but don't see how I can vote for this guy. If he wins, I believe that will be marked as a very sad day for America.

PS: The very last poll has Obama 4 points up in Virginia, but I still think he will loose that one. But Ohio? Gimme a break.

The only way Robme is going to win the election is if him and his drones manipulate the numbers through the voting machines that the Romney family recently purchased majority stock in. The CEO of the company is a former Bain executive and major contributor to the Romney campaign, as well as 2 of the board members.

These are the same voting machines the were at the center of the Bush SNAFU and have neen deemed unreliable and very susceptible to manipulation.

Don't beleive me google Romney family buys voting machines. They have purchased yhem for use in several states including Ohio. Forbes ran an article on it and several studies were conducted after the 04 debacle.

This is called " reverse psychology ". When you want people to believe something that isn't so, you try to plant what you want into their brains. He is hoping he can keep Democrats away from the polls by thinking that President Obama doesn't have a chance. Be careful people of Ohio. Get out there and vote for President Obama because he is the only one that can, and will, help you. By voting for Romney you have everything to lose.

Of the 35 polls that have been conducted in Ohio over the past month, Romney has lead in 3. Draw your own conclusions.

Republicans are dilusional!!... They lie so much they start believing it as if it were the truth. Facts do matter folks... 1 mil Ohio men and women would be jobless if it were not for this president. Romnesia opposed the bailout and made 115 million off of it through his secret partners. Romney still has yet to release his tax returns, still had money hidden in secret trust and off shore accounts, still flip flops on every important issue as if we have short memories, and claims deficit reduction and 12 million jobs he will create without giving one answer on how he is going to do it. The math simply does not add up folks.... We will not be fooled by Mitt the slick oil salesman and lieying Ryan

Unfortunately, I think Kasich's right. A lot of Democrats aren't going to vote on election day. It's not easy to get Dems out to vote.

It still amazes me that some people look at skin color and not the issues. Did you check the graphs to see where the enconomy stood before he became president? Did you even look to see how things are now? After the hardships that I have faced because of the republican agenda why would I vote that crap back in? People check your facts first then make your decision. Can we really trust someone that keeps changing what they say from day to day?

this guy is a total joke. Obama is ahead on every single poll in OHIO has been since the beginning of this race. Check again, why are republican's so desperate to win that they have to resort to lying their asses off everytime they get infront of a camera.

Gov. Kasich is in denial. By his own personal assessment, outside data of the polling, will gives Mr. Romney a morale boost. This is usually the reaction of a losing candidates. They will disregard any information that will say otherwise, real information that reflect the pulse of the electorate. Mr. Kasich should rather be pragmatic and face the fact. It will give Mr. Romney a real shot at a real plan.

Would somebody tell me again, why anyone would want Mitt Romney as our President .. unless you want to lose what is already gained these past four years. Mitt Romney said he would destroy the new Health Care law (Obama Care) the very first day of his tenure in office. Well, for one thing, most presidents don't have time for anything but going through the swearing in of office .. getting furniture and things arranged in his office .. going through several sessions about what's happening in Washington .. eating .. and getting ready to attend not less than four Balls put on every Inaugeration day and night. First promise broken .. on his first day.

The math is simple. If Obama is ahead in early voting and the race is tied as of now then it doesn’t take a 2 year old to realized that the math is tilted towards Obama. Gust i know most americans aren’t too keen on math but for crying out loud...

This person can predict this and that person can predict that but in the end, all that matters is who is actually elected POTUS.

Personally I am voting for Romney. Yes that so called cult leader that so many of you poor ignorant and or misinformend masses like to call him and anyone associated with the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Botttom line is this folks: With Obama we will see 4 more years of the same downward spiral we are currently in. We will see 4 more years of Obama blaming his failures on anyone and everyone except the person in charge, namely himself. With Romney we can and will see a change and any change from the direction in which we are currently headed will be a good change. Now to give Obama credit he did promise us "HOPE and Change," and he has delivered on that promise. After 4 years the only hope this country has is that we will change the name on the Oval Office/White House in January of this next year. Because the only current changes we have seen is the continued devaluation of our currency, the dropping of our national credit rating (for the first time in history) and the increasing and seemingly unstoppable increase in our national debt.

The polls were tight in Wisconsin on the Recall of the Governor. He won with more votes than the first time. The polls are close in the Presidential election so it appears the election will be close. But the Tea Leaves are indicating Romney will be elected. The pooblems out there are real. Obama hasn't solved them or even come close. Say goodbye to Obama.

The person who is going to lose is the person who has to FLIP-FLOP on many of his positions in October.

Mormon Bishop Mitten's is hoping Conservatives will forgive him for becoming a liberal in October. And the Mormon Draft Dodger is hoping independents have been asleep the last two years.
