Sandy could delay jobs report

New York (CNNMoney) - Hurricane Sandy could cause a delay in the release of the highly-anticipated October jobs report set for this Friday.

The report is normally released at 8:30 a.m. ET the first Friday of the month. This month's report is the final reading on the health of the job market before the presidential election.

I don't see why there will be any delay. I'm optimistic about the jobs report. There is alot of holiday hiring going on right now and that should reflect in this report.

If the report is delayed, it probably will not be because of the storm. It sounds more like Axelrod and Company covering their bases just in case the numbers come out bad ahead of the election. One might also ask why Obama playing ropey dope with the Benghazi issue. How can a sitting President not get straight answers after a month and a half. Put that off until after the election too?

Not sure why there would be a delay, I'm assuming it might be delayed because maybe their server might go down or something so they are not able to compile the data correctly. I'm not sure. I agree with UBS Willard though, it will probably be an improvement due to holiday hiring.

  4. HUSSEIN OBAMA

No but Hussein Obama will delay it if it's negative. That's a given.

Storm delay my you know what. It appears CNN is already proving cover for Obama not to release the report. Let's make sure to include California and Nevada this time around. The last report left out both of those states and the number appeared lower then what it really was.

The only real storm coming is on election day when Obama goes down in defeat.

    NOBAMA 2012!

If it's bad we won't see it. More likely a good report that's revised down later.

The anecdotal evidence from the posts here and on the story about Sandy is that many Republicans are vulnerable to conspiracy theories.

Democrats are always optimistic about jobs reports because we're always happy to know those who are looking for a job got one even though there is much more to be done. Republicans are always expected to be negative about any jobs report because their only job is to be negative and they are always ready to rain on your parade.
