Clinton to head to PA in battleground state swing

Washington (CNN) - Add one more high-profile name to the list of those making surprising, last-minute stops to Pennsylvania just days before Election Day: Former President Bill Clinton.

After Mitt Romney's campaign said Thursday that the GOP presidential nominee and his running mate, Rep. Paul Ryan, would both stump in the Keystone State this weekend, an Obama campaign official confirmed Friday that the 42nd president would also hit the Pennsylvania trail.

Clinton will also stump in the battlegrounds of New Hampshire (where he will hold two events) and North Carolina, as well as Minnesota, where Romney's campaign and a pro-Republican super PAC are airing ads, Obama's campaign said in a Friday evening statement.

After recent polls indicated the race was tightening in the state, Romney's team said this week it was purchasing air time in Pennsylvania, a state long-considered to be leaning Democratic this cycle. The ad buy is worth $1 million, according to a source tracking media buys.

Meanwhile, the Republican National Committee and conservative super PACs bought $5.3 million worth of ads to run in the state.

While Romney's campaign says it is "looking at an expanded map" in the final days, Obama's team maintains the strategy is an "act of desperation."

However, saying it would not cede any ground, Obama's campaign also made a big ad buy ($2.7 million) in the state, following Romney's purchase. And Jill Biden, the wife of Vice President Joe Biden, will make four campaign stops in Pennsylvania on Saturday, the vice president's office announced Friday.

Clinton has been a top surrogate on the campaign trail this year for Obama. The former president has been crisscrossing the country, holding multiple events each day in key battlegrounds. Clinton and Obama will appear together Saturday in Virginia.

The campaign source did not provide additional details about Clinton's Monday visit to Pennsylvania, a state that has 20 electoral votes.

On the same day–the final day before the election–Obama will make a multistate swing through Wisconsin, Ohio and Iowa, before going to Chicago.

Obama carried Pennsylvania in 2008 by 10% over Sen. John McCain.

A Franklin and Marshall College poll released Wednesday showed Obama with a narrower margin over Romney in the state, 49%-45%.

Bill Clinton is the most famous "womanizer" and the most famous LIAR in American history.
    Let’s keep things in perspective.
How do Bush’s lies about WMDs that never existed and the resulting 10+ year war that will destroy the US economy for the better part of a generation compare to an immature fat party girl who got her feelings hurt?

It’s truly fascinating how virtually none of the Bush/Cheney fascist regime has made a public appearance in support of Romney.

Where is the invisible former Bush/Cheney fascist regime?

Bill Clinton to the rescue, once again. The narcissistic amateur just can't seem to handle this on his own. Make no mistake, Bill Clinton is campaigning for Hillary in 2016 more than he is for Obama. This is about laying the foundation for Hillary, should she decide to run.

Gee I did not realize so many people know just what Bill Clinton and thinking. The man is campaigning for his party's leader. He believes he has made his case tot he American people. Yes, he has faults but he has not forgotten the people he fought for in this world. Give him credit for what he has done since he left office and some of it with President George Herbert Walker Bush for President George W. Bush.

At least he is out front. Those like Cheney and Rumsfeld are working behind the scenes. If you liked them before you will have a chance to see them again should Romney win. They are part of his support network. They will be pushing for more involvement in Syria and Libya and our service men and women will be spending time there, too. That is very worrisome.

My sense is that Mr. Obama wins-barely. But, make no mistake, the Big Winner this cycle is Bill Clinton.

It's always great to see Bill Clinton out there. It's even better to see that he has Obama's back during the final days of this campaign. I often wonder why the most recent republican president hasn't showed his face to support that party's candidate, Mr. Romney?? I can only imagine why he wouldn't want to show his face. Then people would have awful flash backs of his days in the White House and associate that with what Mr. Romney would be bringing to the table should he make it to the White House. I wonder why he hasn't come out of the wood works?? He's ashamed!! Ashamed of his poor decisions as president and ashamed of how he left the country when his time was up!! Sure some say that history will be forgiving, but for a lot of us who lived through his mess of a presidency, we cannot forget!! Clinton left the White House with a legacy. George W. Bush left the White House a disgrace.

Four years ago, Obama "fixed" global warming and caused the oceans to recede.

So you better get ready for some cold weather! I sure hope your electricity is working so you can be warm ... well, unless the oceans haven't receded from your home yet.

Nothing but Obama trying to run on Bill Clinton's record because Obama's record of failure is not worth re-electing. Pretty pathetic of a sitting president that had 4 years and doesn't have anything positive to say about his accomplishments or where he wants to take the country in the next four years.

Then again, the other half of me almost wants Obama re-elected to try and cleanup his messes, like the fiscal cliff and Obamacare. If Romney gets elected, he'll need a really big pooper scooper to clean it up. The country might need another 4 years of Obama to bring it to its knees BEGGING to get rid of the leftist Democrats FOREVER. All the rioting in the streets will also be interesting to watch as the money runs out and China stops funding our insanity. Yes, tough decision....

It is called selling your soul to the devil for political gain. If Obama wins, they will be able to bury the details of the Benghazi debacle forever and Hillary Clinton's political life depends on that right now, as does Obama's.
