King: Battleground Colorado - 'Everyone is on edge'

Editor's note: The 2012 presidential race is CNN Chief National Correspondent John King's seventh campaign. King is traveling through battleground states, where the election will be decided, to find the voters who will determine whether President Barack Obama gets a second term or if the country needs the change in direction that Mitt Romney represents.

Denver (CNN) - After covering seven presidential campaigns, you might think you have seen it all. But two firsts in Colorado on Thursday: drive-through voting and a presidential ballot with the option of voting for Roseanne Barr.

The drive-through action was in downtown Denver, part of a Colorado early voting rush that is likely to account for more than half of the ballots cast in this presidential battleground.

Senators and Congressmen will win on straight ticket voting by Democrats. I never voted a straight ticket until this year when I realized the terrible animosity of the Republican Party and the fact that they would vote only a straight ticket themselves. We must win the presidential election and the rest will fall into place. President Obama supports FEMA in all its capacity and Sandy in that respect put the wind to our backs. Like the cable guy says “Let’s git er done”

Governor Romney with canned food: this is ironic in that his appearance is canned rhetoric of his recently apparent generosity for those in need. He has already said that FEMA has to be privatized or given to the states. I’m sure Halliburton can handle the privatization of FEMA and Dick Cheney could monitor the transition. There’s profit to be made in revitalizing the Federal Government by privatization. Mitt has a plan? Do you know what that plan is?

Certainly it’s evident to everyone that any suggestion to improve a constipated bureaucracy by President Obama is unacceptable to Republicans. Yet it’s time to sit down on elected thrones with a winced face of determination and get past this obstruction and flush it where it belongs. Vote a straight Democratic ticket. Let’s get Congress moving again!

In 2008, it was a noble decision to elect America's first black President ... unfortunately, the wrong black person was chosen for such an honor, and such a responsibility. Obama has squandered this historic opportunity, and betrayed all those who elected him ... with irresponsible spending ... failed policies ... division ... cronyism ... as well as lies and cover ups, in order to hold onto power. What a shame. To reelect Obama simply because he's America's first black President ... would surely be an act of racism. America is more important than Obama ... Obama is expendable and replaceable ... America is not. Save America ... replace Obama, and his corrupt administration on November 6th !!!

I will watch until I see the results from Ohio. Given how the various states are leaning, whoever takes Ohio will take enough other states to win it. After that it's just a question of getting smashed on champagne to celebrate with one neighbor or drowning my sorrows in cheap gin with another.

Sadly, knowing who "burned Rome" rarely stops it from occurring. Bread anyone? I hear the circus is in town....

Because the closer to election day, the bigger his lies get. He was passed over by Mccain who picked Palin. We don't need a reject in the white house. He cannot be trusted - just look who he owes favors to - Kochs, Rove, Dick Armey, you name any W support staff and they are working for Mitt. Right down to the war-mongers that want to start a war with Iran.
