
Madison, Wisconsin (CNN) - Top aides to President Barack Obama on Monday expressed their confidence in an Election Day victory and placed stock in their campaign rituals.
"It's like the end of a long running series and all the characters are coming back," said David Axelrod, who has been a longtime aide to Obama, both on the campaign trail and in the White House.

Washington (CNN) - The day before the presidential election, an average of the eight national polls released Sunday and Monday indicates the race for the White House is all knotted up.

(CNN) - New polls released Monday indicate the presidential race is neck and neck in two battleground states.
A CNN Poll of Polls show President Barack Obama has a narrow two-point edge over Mitt Romney in New Hampshire, 50%-48%, and a three-point edge over his Republican challenger in Iowa, 48%-45%.

Fairfax, Virginia (CNN) - Mitt Romney will campaign in Cleveland, Ohio and Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on Election Day, campaign officials said Monday.
While Ohio is considered perhaps the most crucial battleground this cycle, Pennsylvania tends to lean Democratic. Recent polls, however, have indicated the race is tightening in the state, sparking renewed efforts by the Romney campaign to make a play for the state.

Sterling, Virginia (CNN) - Joe Biden, speaking to an enthusiastic crowd in Virginia Monday, continued his assault on Mitt Romney's T.V. commercial claiming Chrysler is sending Jeep production to China, saying the spot running in Ohio was scaring already-nervous auto workers.
"Now they're trying to scare the living bedevil out of Ohioans. One in eight jobs in Ohio is in the automobile industry," Biden said at the event at a farm in Sterling.
