Boston (CNN) - Mitt Romney's internal campaign polling showed President Obama leading Ohio by five points on Sunday, the final day the campaign polled the state, two GOP sources told CNN.
The number represented a sharp final bump for Obama in Ohio, a race that had essentially been a tied race through much of the previous week, according to the campaign's daily tracking.

The polling, which also showed a tight race in Pennsylvania, explains why Romney officials decided to send their candidate on last-minute Election Day visits to Cleveland and Pittsburgh.
That late push came as campaign officials were outwardly projecting confidence about Ohio. Prior to Sunday, Romney's internal polling had consistently revealed a closer race in Ohio than public polling suggests.
I knew the last minute campaign in Pennsylvania and ohio were desperation acts
Obama all the way
So, someone from the Romney camp went ahead and told some other GOP operative the results of their internal polling, then those supposed, anonymous GOP operatives gave CNN a call. Oh, yeah, I get it. Thanks!!!
Cause they were going to lie about it as long as they possibly could, until it became clear that they had no chance.
If ohio is out for romney...so is the 270 electoral votes........
@ronnie - If it were Florida, then I'd agree. Ohio is something that Romney could win without, but it would be hard.
