Alabama voters send anti-Obamacare message
(CNN) - Voters on Election Day in Alabama said yes to amending the state constitution and thereby sending a strong symbolic message against the Affordable Care Act, also known as Obamacare, according to a CNN projection.
In saying yes to Amendment 6, voters chose to prohibit individuals and businesses from being compelled to participate in any health care system. The initiative is considered largely symbolic since Obamacare would still be available to people anyway.

The popular vote went to Romney , that is how most if not all countries elect their leader.
alabama, the civil war is over. much like tonight you lost it as well. federal law will trump your state law. this will be challenged go to the supreme court and be over turned. all on the tax payers dime. but seeing as your state takes in more in federal aid than it pays in taxes i can see where you all probably don't care to much about it. i'm all for letting you secede from the union and seeing how well you do on your own.

Gore won the popular vote, too. Bush got in anyway to lead America in it's 2008 collapse.

Obama owns the whole health care mess he created now. All the Democrats will be blamed when it all blows up in their faces as more states take this c r a p p y legislation to a vote. College students whose parents are military must pay for a separate policy at age 23, they are discriminated against under the Affordable Health Care Law. Discrimination is illegal, so s t u f f it up yours Obama. Welcome to the problem you made & cannot pass off as someone else's fault. There is no Bush or other Republican to blame now, only YOU.
This country does not want to work hard creating independent business or institutions that will help create the jobs to pumped up and help our economy to help them own a piece of the American Dream! The American Dream has its foundations building businesses that create jobs, to stimulate our country! :). The American dream must never be handed to anyone just because thay are citizens of the good old US of A.
Alabama hates Obama & Obamacare because we are not socialists & we were not drinking the kool-aid the other half the country was. We have been struggling in Alabama for the last four years. We work very hard in Alabama for what we have & don't like the idea of being punished for having a work ethic. We believe in the right to make our own choices & don't need the federal government dictating to us how to live cradle to grave. We believe when the federal government governs our behavior & values we lose our basic liberties and become slaves to the government. We lost our freedom today. Many employers will drop their healthcare coverage because it is cheaper to pay the penalty to the federal government. People will get rationed healthcare & denied life saving treatment like they do in other countries with socialized medicine. ObamaCare will ultimately kill more people than it saves. We know this in Alabama because we have hospitals & business here that are are leaders in the healthcare industry.
