Mitt Romney sends note of thanks to supporters
Washington (CNN) - Mitt Romney sent a note Saturday to his campaign backers saying he and his wife "cannot thank you enough for supporting and believing in our cause."
"This was more than just a campaign - this was a national movement," he said. "Thank you for the work that you did - going across neighborhoods to knock on doors and put up yard signs. Thanks for making phone calls, coming to rallies, donating funds, and convincing friends and family to join our team."

He did not specifically address his loss or President Barack Obama in the message.
"We still believe that better days are ahead. It's up to us to rally together to renew America's promise and restore American greatness," the message said.
The message did not address Romney's future plans. He has told supporters that one immediate emphasis is to help find jobs for the 400 campaign staffers.
"From the bottom of our hearts, Ann and I thank you for your support, prayers, efforts, and vote. We are forever grateful to each and every one of you. Today's a new day. Keep believing in America," Romney wrote before ending it saying, "Thank You."
Get real Republicans.........you lost because a lot of white Republicans have left the party. These white Republicans are who you need to win back and I can tell you right now from traveling and having friends and relatives in the swing states, they will not vote for a Jeb Bush (due to being related to George W. Bush who left office with a very low approval rating and people blamed George W. Bush on the economy not Obama) or a Marco Rubio (it looks like they would be pandering to Latinos, but Latinos do not like him and the Cuban vote in Florida would be split) or a Susana Martinez, (for bascally the same reasons as Rubio) plus all three are Tea Party favorites. You must get rid of the Tea Party. You had better have a Tim Pawlenty, Rob Portman, Chris Christie, Paul Ryan, Nikki Haley, Cathy McMorris Rodgers, Rick Santorum, or even Rick Perry on as President and Vice President nominees. This is so simple.

Yes it was a movement that has proven that all the lies and money in the world can't buy the Whitehouse, and when you have nothing to offer the middle class,don't think you will win the election

...Then he canceled the credit cards leaving some of those supporters stranded. At least that's what other news outlests are reporting.

Typical of Mitt. He's fired an axed thousands over his career as a corporate raider. It comes to me as no surprise this heartless "man" (i.e. coward) would simply send a note. I guess it's simple like an email or pink slip to those fired.

Note to Mitt: -- The national movement that prevailed is the one that wants the expiration of the Bush tax cuts for the wealthy at the expense of the US middle class.
Trickle down economics is and always has been a Reagan / Rovian farce. It is time for some trickle up economics. When the US middle class does well ... the nation ... including the wealthy does well

Sometime about 3 years from now we will look back, when Gas is $6.00 a gallon, unemployment is 11%, and the market is back down below 8,000 and think to ourselves, he fooled us once, shame on him...But that second time he fooled me. Shame on us all. Look to no man for hope, only look to the God that created and loves each and every one of us.
I wouldn't have minded voting for him if it weren't for his stand that he would repeal obamacare, which I support and believe that is right thing to do.

Romeny should reflect on the campaign and all the negative things he had said, and learn from his mistakes. Hopefully, he will give up politics and take up writing a book or something. His flip floping, lying ways did not fool the American people. We had enough of the Super Pacs, big money and deceitful ways of the Republican party. Give it arrest.

Maybe one way to thank them is to reimbursed them for paying their hotels after you Mitt cancelled the credit cards that you issued them after you lost the election with a heartfelt apology for your bad manners. Rendering them to think that the Voters made the right choice in choosing to Reelect the President over you.
Somebody once said, "Mitt Romney seems like a genuinely good man, but he does not seem genuine." Yes, we know, because Mitt Romney has his many potential better than a genuinely good man. Good luck to Romney and his loved ones!
