Mitt Romney sends note of thanks to supporters

Washington (CNN) - Mitt Romney sent a note Saturday to his campaign backers saying he and his wife "cannot thank you enough for supporting and believing in our cause."

"This was more than just a campaign - this was a national movement," he said. "Thank you for the work that you did - going across neighborhoods to knock on doors and put up yard signs. Thanks for making phone calls, coming to rallies, donating funds, and convincing friends and family to join our team."

He did not specifically address his loss or President Barack Obama in the message.

"We still believe that better days are ahead. It's up to us to rally together to renew America's promise and restore American greatness," the message said.

The message did not address Romney's future plans. He has told supporters that one immediate emphasis is to help find jobs for the 400 campaign staffers.

"From the bottom of our hearts, Ann and I thank you for your support, prayers, efforts, and vote. We are forever grateful to each and every one of you. Today's a new day. Keep believing in America," Romney wrote before ending it saying, "Thank You."

Mitt, I would thank you if I don't hear or see you, you've enough money to disappear from the public life, if you are short you always can ask your buddy Trump.

With the trail of intellectual and societal destruction this man's "campaign" left behind, he shouldn't be thanking anyone! He should be announcing his "Apology Tour"!!!!!

He didn't mention that he cut off the credit cards of all his staffers as soon as he gave his concession speech...the poor saps tried to check out of hotels and get plane tickets and cabs the next morning and found all credit cards connected to the campaign were dead. That is a big LMAO for everyone who thought he was a different kind of man.....

Thank you Gov. Romney and Ann for your time and energy believing in America. It will come to pass that the American people got it wrong ... again ... and they will long for the leadership and business intelligence that Gov. Romney would have brought to the White House.

Sadly, things are about to get worse ... and as reported late Friday in the news dump, Obama just enjoyed ANOTHER rise in FOOD STAMP use, bringing the number to an all-time high. We are on the wrong path and voters decided to continue down the path to financial calamity.

Gov. Romney – may I personally ask for your help? A business strategy meeting would be great because Obama has created nothing but a headache for me.

    Thank you.

    Sincerely,

    Somewhere USA

I was/am proud to support Mitt Romney. I'm from Massachusetts and have supported him in since 1994 when he ran against Ted Kennedy. Romney is a class act all the way; Intelligent and thoughtful. It's our loss that he did not win.

The Romney's are on the wrong side of the tracks when it comes to helping the middle class. Thank God for Pres Obama!
