Christie pokes fun at self, New Jersey on 'SNL'
(CNN) - New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie poked fun at himself and his state on "Saturday Night Live," joking that in the wake of Superstorm Sandy, he has "smelled like a wet fleece for the past three weeks."
"It's basically fused to my skin at this point," he said of the jacket, which he was often wearing when photographed following the storm. He wore it, for example, when President Barack Obama toured the battered Garden State coastline.

Christie has said he will announce soon whether he will seek re-election in 2013. The first-term governor teased that the people of his state "are known for their patience."
"I get it, screaming at people at gas stations is a New Jersey tradition," he said, referring to how some responded to gas shortages and long lines. "But you don't do it during a crisis. There will be plenty of time for yelling when this is all over."

I'm not a fan of Chris Christie, but I have to give him credit, "he done good" in the aftermath of Sandy.
I admit it. I like to make fun of Gov. Christie. I'm also more Center-Left than right. But Gov. Christie, I think you got good.
I'm not a fan of Gov Christie at all but he did good with the Sandy disaster. He just needs to lighten-up with acting like a bully sometimes. Do his job and shut is big fat mouth on his oppinions about stupid stuff. He's not always right and other people have solutions too.
Chris Christie put people before politics in regards to Hurricane Sandy. Well done. Sadly, this cannot be said of Guiliani...by the way, where has that loudmouth been hiding for the past fortnight?
No fan of christie and I would never vote for him for anythint but anyone who can laugh at themselves is a good guy.
He is, in real life, too in your face to ever become president. He has had too many run ins with citizens of NJ and others and can't control his temper.
He also looks like he will have a heart attack at any moment.
At least the guy has a sense of humor.Something that is sorely lacking in the Republican party.
I don't agree with Christie's politics, but I'd sit and have a beer or three with him anytime.
i'm a Dem but I must admit, Christie puts his constiuents a head of himself. Very commendable and able to laugh at himself is a relielf.
I hardly ever agree with Christie on poicy....where I respect him, however is his willingness to put his heart...and his policies on his sleeve. He is like the president in this respect. If the majority vote for him, he has a mandate to act upon his campaign message because it has been consistent. Contrast this to Mitt where even if he'd have won I think it would have been hard for him to claim a mandate because he couldn't have pointed to the theme in his campaign saying that the people elected me based upon my message.
Thank you for your leadership, Gov Christie. Colleagues of all political stripes appreciate all you are doing.

Gov Christie did a great job during Sandy and while I am not a fan of his party he put politica aside andi a great job. He showed more class than a lot of his fellow rebublicans and put the people first.
Hate to admit it. This man is more of a leader than MItt. Still wouldn't vote for him, but the's better than the one that ran.
Christie has made the GOP look human. It is refreshing how he has responded to the people of NJ in this Sandy aftermath. He and the President showed their caring and cooperating sides too. It was how the USA citizens should cooperate. We don't have to always agree but we should work for everyone's benefit....by putting country (citizens) above party.
I didn't see the SNL telecast. I am a democrat ny choice. But BRAVO to Gov. Christie for a job better done then well done.
I have to say Christie got it right during this disaster and having watched him last night I have to say he can be a funny guy.
Bizarre. For a Repub, this guy has become very likeable. He's put ordinary people before corporations and the rich. No wonder the Romney sore losers despise him now.
I have disliked Christie due to his rudeness and aggressive behavior. After Sandy he put people before politics. Well done Governor!

I wonder if Mitt Romney now regrets not doing things like SNL , The View, or other shows that would have made him look more like a regular guy. Heck he would not even do the kids vote on Nickelodeon. Too bad Mitt
LOL – @ MarieMD – I honestly think he's about the only one wo would work together, too bad he's their governor, I think he would be better off as a senator, or congressman. At least he "shows" that he can work together, when he & obama were together, and other things where he sort of agrees with the dems.
