Official: Changes to Benghazi talking points made by intel community
Washington (CNN) - The intelligence community - not the White House, State Department or Justice Department - was responsible for the substantive changes made to the talking points distributed for government officials who spoke publicly about the attack on the U.S. mission in Benghazi, the spokesman for the director of national intelligence said Monday.
The unclassified talking points on Libya, developed several days after the the deadly attack on the U.S. mission in Benghazi, were not substantively changed by any agency outside of the intelligence community, according to the spokesman, Shawn Turner.

The best thing the White House can say and do about McCain and Graham is to ignore them and make no comments. Give them both all of the rope and running room that they want to demonstrate to the American People that Republicans really do dislike Rice.
The People cannot help but notice that Rice is young, black and a woman. She is the stereotype of most everything that Republicans have denied hating, and now they're continuing their social wars and social engineering.
Rice is being criticized for following orders, and McCain declares her "unfit" to serve. Had Rice broke policy and made unauthrized statements, then she would be "unfit" to serve any post. But, she didn't. She followed orders, and now Republicans want to politically destroy her? The Repubican brand continues its' free fall off a of cliff that it chose.
Just wondering, if " talking points on Libya, developed several days after the the deadly attack" refers to the idea that the attacks were related to a movie, why did Associated Press release an article printed on September 12 (the day immediately following the attack) claiming that BOTH the riots in Egypt, and the violent riots in Benghazi, were the result of the anti-Mohamed movie?
did Congress ask the AP reporters where THEY got their info?

No, Democrats are not saying government needs to get bigger. That's right wing media talking inside of your head. All along Democrats have been saying let's cut wasteful spending. Want to know what Republicans, Mitt Romney, and others have been saying?
"Let's cut spending on jobs for teachers, policemen,fire fighters and other civil servants holding middle class jobs so that we can create growth and middle class jobs."

Its called paying the tab the GOP ran up with their ridiculous tax cuts. The only people that really excelled at growing government was the GOP under Bush, with Homeland Security, the prescription drug benefit, and lots of no-bid contracts to politically connected companies. The GOP, the lazy folks who skip out when the bill needs to be paid.
Impeach John McCain and the Republicans would have hit the "right target" because President Obama ain't it and while they're at it, how about the war crimes committed by Bush/Cheney or does that incriminate them also. We still need answers on 9-11 for the 3,000 plus and their families as well as why we sent our military to Iraq that killed over 5,000 and many innocent Iraqi citizens.

If the republicans are willing to impeach a president with a 90% approval rating what makes you think they won't stop attacking Obama. This is not for the good of the country. This is an attempt to besmirch the president and stay relevant
I hope the righties in Congress and on Fox 'news' are proud that they forced the intelligence community to reveal inner workings of their organizations that the intelligence community prefers to keep out of the public eye, for security reasons.

and yet not one single item to cut has ever been mentioned. where are all the immediate cuts the democrats are willing to make? if you want taxes immediately, then come up with immediate cuts. if you want future cuts, then you get future taxes dependent on those cuts taking place.
the democrats lies about cutting spending are legendary and mythical. they never ever happen. it is how you get a 3.5 trillion behemoth federal government. like the mythical doc fix that is supposed to cut spending but that never ever happens. nothing but bs, smoke and mirrors resulting in a trillion dollar deficit for as far as the eye can see.
Honesty and common sense are commodities with the GOP that is as plentiful as water in the Sahara. Do we reveal our intelligence-gathering apparatus for all to see? The answer is yes if you are in the GOP, and are feeling so frustrated by your lack of ideas and success that you are willing to scrifice what little integrity you have left to try and manufacture a scandal for domestic politcal consumption. How sad, but predictable. Defend millionaires as a persecuted class, and deny the truth about many of the elements that make them a success. That's the rightie way.

after all, obama and biden was parading all over the country screaming gm was alive and osama was dead. and osama's followers killing americans just didn't meld with those lies. and the fact that these people had asked for added security and were denied made it even more toxic. it is why hillary clinton has disappeared. at least she manne dup and took responsibility. obama? nahh.... he just continues to hide behind the skirt of rice and clinton feigning outrage. the guy is rather pathetic.
The public doesn't need to know EVERYTHING. While they are informing us, they are also informing our ENEMIES.
