Man arrested after charging at Romney's SUV
(CNN) - The Secret Service said an unidentified man was arrested Thursday at the White House after running at the vehicle carrying former Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney to a lunch there.
The man reached into Romney's open vehicle window as the SUV stopped at a White House gate. He was yelling the candidate's name when he was hauled away, apparently by a security officer.

"This afternoon an individual interfered with a motorcade," the Secret Service said in a statement. "He became combative with uniformed Secret Service agents, and was arrested for assault of a police officer and unlawful entrance."
The individual did not appear to physically contact Romney.
Romney was visiting the White House for a lunch with President Barack Obama. The White House said in a statement the "focus of their discussion was on America's leadership in the world and the importance of maintaining that leadership position in the future."

Jon – I HALF agree with you. With the exception of Morning Joe and to a lesser extext Chris Matthews, MSNBC's commentators are WAY too far to the left. At the same time, I only HALF agree with you b/c Fox News has the opposite extremist tilt. Not sure which extreme is worse, but this is a time when the country could use less of both of them!!!!

Where was the Secret Service ? If this guy had carried a gun he would have had plenty of time to do what he wanted before the Secret Service got to him.

After reading the comments in every political article, it is painfully clear to see who is really causing our country to decline. It's the people who get so caught up on one side and blame all of our problems on the other side. YOU are the cause of our problems. The politicians who act like this are a big part of it. It is ok to disagree and have your own opinions. But to ignore reality hurts this country. The truth of the matter is the GOP kept the House, Dems kept control of the Senate, and the President won by only a few million votes. Which, anyone with any common sense can see this means the country is as divided as ever. The problem comes in when one side thinks they are right and the other side is wrong. Neither side is wrong. Both sides need to learn that if you completely dismiss what the other side has to say, you doom this country. Until people stop ignoring the other side because they have a different opinion, we will never progress.

I watch both Fox news and MSNBC...this is what I have found...FOX News is a a propaganda rag both in their so called hard news during the day and of course the liars like Hannity et al at night..MSNBC news is basically balanced their night shows are of course liberal...but they do not lie and misrepresent like Fox and when I fact check they are usually accurate where Fox is just a propaganda machine
The topic was America's leadership, and the lunch lasted only an hour. Probably exhausted that topic pretty fast. How about the leadership of an economically viable country like Switzerland or Germany.
