Clinton to testify on Benghazi report on December 20
(CNN) - Secretary of State Hillary Clinton will testify on the deadly attack on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi, Libya before the House of Representatives Foreign Affairs Committee on December 20, the committee announced Wednesday.
The September 11, 2012 attack resulted in the deaths of four Americans including Ambassador Chris Stevens and called into question the security of U.S. diplomatic personnel abroad.

While Clinton did go to the Hill to brief congressional members behind closed doors soon after the attack, she has not been back since. Next week’s testimony is expected to be proceeded by the release of the findings of an independent review of the State Department’s handling of security and the threats in Libya. The review, requested by the Accountability Review Board, is headed by former U.S. ambassador Thomas Pickering and includes former Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Adm. Mike Mullen.
Another issue that is bound to be focused on is how the administration spoke of the attack in the days following September 11th. U.S. Ambassador to the U.N. Susan Rice, whose name has been floated as a replacement for Clinton after she leaves her post as secretary of state, said preliminary information suggested the attack was spawned from protests over an anti-Muslim film. Rice's comments came under harsh scrutiny as further information suggested the attack was a premeditated assault.
Clinton has defended Rice in the wake of criticism.
Former CIA Director David Patraeus testified behind closed doors before the Senate Intelligence Committee about the attack in November.
Clinton will also testify before the Senate Foreign Relations committee though a date has not been announced yet.

Will we finally receive a report on what really happened here? Will Secretary of State Clinton inform the committee that this had nothing to do with a video but was a planned attack? Will she also admit that all the misleading and false reports the White House administration sent out was false for approximately 2 weeks. Let's see how much integrity the Secretary of State will have.
How will she explain explicitly lying over flag draped caskets of the murdered ambassador and servicemen? How will she explain that she was not the one addressing the nation as Secretary of State regarding this tragedy, but that Susan Rice was sent instead? How will she explain what the hell happened that night in the situation room? How deep and corrupt do one's loyalites go for their own political careers?
President Obama lied and an ambassador died.
We can all rest assured here that she has by now all her ducks in a row at either a house or senate hearing.
One way or the other she will confirm that Rice gave the " official at that time public purview response".
The only three questions worth asking in all this ( excludes whether Rice can be a good Sec of state) is:-
why were thier only 2 security guards or body guards at the consulate, and how did the attackers know the location of the so called safe house, and finally why did not the other Cia staff have sufficient arms to proceed more quickly to the consulate. I believe i am correct when I say 2 out of 4 deaths ocurred a the safe house location.
If it was a pre-meditated and planned attack, that is a NSA or CIA failure and nothing to do with Rice's staements or Secretary of state operating under a cut budget for Embassy and Consular security staff.
I wish our politicians would be having multiple committee meetings and discussions of how to avoid the fiscal cliff rather than this matter... its solution can wait; the fiscal cliff will not.
