Video: Boehner's 52-second response to Obama

Washington (CNN) - House Speaker John Boehner did not mince words at a brief statement to reporters on Wednesday: following the House vote on his Plan B tax proposal, "the president will have a decision to make. He can call on Senate Democrats to pass that bill or he can be responsible for the largest tax increase in American history."

FACT: " allowing several key tax credits to expire –including the expanded Child Tax Credit and a credit that helps with higher education tuition — Plan B would raise taxes on 20 million families. Also, allowing the current payroll tax cut to expire will affect every working American. As the Tax Policy Center noted, “Most low income and middle income families with children will see their taxes rise.”

Thanks, least someone who claims to be journalists are doing their jobs.

The Speaker has no intention of compromising with the President. He is still in partisan mode from the last four years. It is very frustrating to listen to him. Only his ideas will do and he will not listen to anyone else. He will not support the President at all and is the first Speaker in many, many years who cannot work with a president from the opposing party. He is continuing the practices that got us into this mess.

It would be good to see someone run against him for speaker. We are seeking someone who knows how to bring people together and not put a wedge between groups.

Blah blah blah, Mr. Speaker. It's YOU and your fellow GOPhers who will blamed for tax increases on the middle class, and rightly so. Have another beer to assuage your panic attack.
