Washington (CNN) - Roughly six weeks ago, Rep. John Boehner was reelected unanimously by his colleagues as speaker of the House of Representatives. They cheered and applauded him in an ornate hearing room on Capitol Hill.
But on Thursday, many of those same Republicans abandoned Boehner in droves, rejecting his Plan B to avert the fiscal cliff and raising questions about his future.

It serves as a microcosm of the party, for all the nation to see. They do nothing, and oppose everything, including their own policies and party members. But hey American voters.. at least they've kept true to the pledge they made to Norquist, to heck with them putting party before country....
What about Pres. Obama's failure to care enough about this country to lead on this issue and try to compromise before Christmas. He doesn't care that it's Christmas, and the nation is hurting. Instead, he's off to Hawaii. That's what the headline should be.

We need to go over the cliff to raise taxes on the wealthiest and cut the bloated defemse budget. THEN we can lower rates for some, and check carefully whether more funcing should be put back into defense.

It's all over for old Bohner. And McConnell. They both seem to be the last people to realize this!

It is truly amazing what the Talking Heads will come up with. After 75 Years of Liberal Democrat Big Spending Policies, that are a dismal failure they want to blame one man. People voted for this all those years and now the Chickens have come home to roost. Getting rid of the Speaker will not solve one iota of the problem.
