Washington (CNN) - A year ago, President Barack Obama was under fire. Today, he is being feted.
In just 12 months, the 51-year-old lawyer and former U.S. senator raised by a single mother went from a beleaguered candidate for re-election - his record and signature health care law under daily attack by Republican rivals - to being the first Democrat to win more than 50% of a presidential vote twice since Franklin D. Roosevelt.
FULL STORY

He won the Presidency
He won the Nobel Peace Prize
He stopped a recession
He saved the American Auto Industry
He has ended wars
HE KILLED OSAMA BIN LADEN
He has been re-elected as President Of The United States Of America!
He is Time's Man of The Year
and now CNN'S MOST INTRIGUING PERSON OF THE YEAR?!?
Republican heads are EXPLODING. They must be EXPLODING!
In spite of their best efforts to utterly destroy him OBAMA JUST KEEPS WINNING!!!!
If I were President Obama, right now I would bust out like Charlie Sheen "WINNING"
"All he do is win win win no matter what!!!
That's because CNN us owned by the Democratic party, and CNN is a totally propagandist network.
They cheer their socialist leader, and cheer the damage he is doing to America.
Real Americans, despise CNN.
Wow that's a surprise didn't think that would happen in a million years.
Another President bought and paid for by the liberal press Merry Christmas.
Remember in 2016 when we are 20 Trillion in debt the Man of the Year did it can't blame anyone from here on out it's his to own and only his.
Kelby, you need help. "He" did not do all of those things.
The plan in Iraq was not his. That's why he kept everyone to finish it but deserves credit for seeing it through. Anyone who was president would have had the same outcome.
If Afghanistan is over, you should tell all those troops over there.
Same with GM. Much of the financing was already motion before he became president The industry would have been fine.
He wasn't part of seal team 6.
Even he knows the Nobel Peace Prize wasn't deserved.
It's not the president that worries me. It's his cult like followers (you).
For the record. He is an amazingly accomplished person
I never understood the GOPs facsination with GW Bush. So it is understanable that they don't understand our facsination with the President who continues to overcome obstacles.
If you listen real hard you can Romney McCain and Palin screaming. I love it when republicans post negative comments on this post about our president it just makes them irrelevant and bitter just like the three I just named. Merry Christmas and may the president continue to shine among all the haters and bigots. God I love this country....
Republicans, your party's best candidate (yes, Romney was your best candidate) could not beat an incumbent president when the unemployment rate was 8%. That's all she wrote.
That's because CNN knows what makes a person intriguing and CNN is totally a news network
They cheer our democratically elected leader and the cheer the work that he is doing for America
Real Americans love America and respect the office of The President if not the person who holds that office
USA USA USA!!!
Dear tea party...GOP...get over it!
I don't know if the President is the most intriguing person but he certainly is one of most interestingclassy individuals that I have ever seen. In the face of the repugs hating everything about him he has remained calm going about doing the job he was elected to do by both popular and electoral votes in 2008 and again in 2012.
Manty people, think mutant from AK, can't take criticism without coming out to make themselves even more dumb. The President and the First Lady are not only doing a good job as residents of the White House but they are raising two incredibly beautiful girls both inside and out.
Merry Christmas everyone!
the repos their ideas their stands on gun control and the way they treat women and minorities will be the end of them. Election over lets move forward. The president is doing a good job. and I find it intriguing that the man has been able to withstand the slings and arrows from the right and still come off as a class act.
intriguing: present participle of in·trigue (Verb)
Verb
1.Arouse the curiosity or interest of; fascinate.
2.Make secret plans to do something illicit or detrimental to someone.
Me thinks #2 is right on target with this guy. And get this, I'm a Liberal. So you don't have to be a Republican to slag the leader of the opposite party. All you have to do is open your eyes and see what's really going on.
FORWARD, FORWARD, the election is over President Obama is in his 2nd term so in 2016 it can be your chance to run for president rather than complain.
what an accomplishment–killing an old terrorist who had severe kidney failure and probably had a few weeks to live anyway–Obama loved the huge automatic weapons used to mow him down and also loves the drones that have killed many innocent civilians....
