More 'cliffs' to come in new Congress

Washington (CNN) - Partisan bickering, acrimony, mistrust, communication breakdowns, lines drawn in the sand and 11th-hour compromises are the new normal on Capitol Hill.

Managing to function in a constant state of dysfunction while fiercely fighting to eke out a better deal during negotiations is what happens when the stakes are high and people involved are deeply vested.

No, let's be clear, it isn't just "Partisan bickering, acrimony, mistrust, communication breakdowns, lines drawn in the sand and 11th-hour compromises are the new normal on Capitol Hill.".

It is the intentional destruction of American by one renegade party that has no other function than to run counter to anything that helps America or Americans.

When do we get to declare the GOP a terrorist organization, and put it out of its misery?

Liberals have always been for spending cuts, just not the draconian types of cuts that conservatives wish to make.

Dysfunction. And more [R] dysfunction to come.

[R]s seem intent on losing the House to the [D]s in 2014. So let's not fight it and oblige them. Then the country can finally start on a politically concerted recovery from the 2008 [R]-caused economic debacle.

First, 12 years of trickle-down numbskullery and useless gov't/defense over-spending by [R] Reagan/Bush1; Clinton cleaned it up and fixed it. Then 8 more years of trickle-down numbskullery, ineffective tax cuts, unfunded spending and resulting debt by [R] Bush2; Obama is cleaning it up and fixing it. A [D] president is a PROVEN cure for the country after being inflicted with [R] stupidity....so let's help Obama further and give him a [D] House.

The people negoiating in DC arent deeply vested in the problems most of them are motivated by greed! The majority of our lawmakers have no ethics like our fearless leader and they want to say I won like Obama does all the time! It is poor leadership all the way and if the people get hurt oh well I got my pay and that is all that counts I won too the people dont get thiers!

Can someone answer this question? When Congress sets up a debt ceiling, then passes a budget or continuing resolution authorizing spending that exceeds the debt ceiling (despite Republican complaint about Obama's spending, they did pass continuing resolutions authorizing the spending), shouldn't the budget or continuing resolution override the debt ceiling?
