Wal-Mart to attend gun control meeting at White House
New York (CNNMoney) - After initially declining an invitation to attend, Wal-Mart announced Wednesday that it will participate in a meeting with Vice President Joseph Biden's gun violence task force.
The nation's largest retailer, which had sent representatives to meet with the vice president's staff earlier this week, originally said that executives couldn't attend Biden's meeting Thursday because they were obligated to be at monthly sales meetings at its headquarters in Bentonville, Ark.

How anyone shops at this low class (Wal-Mart) establishment is beyond me. Nothing will change because there's too much money to be made off gun sales so this is just good PR.
Should charge the Waltons an $80B admission fee just to get through the front door.
@Woman In California – That's what the republicans want – They want everybody that makes less than 150K per yr. to shop at wal-mart . ( which is the majority of the people in the u.s.)
This gun issue is starting to get ridiculous. I'm not sure if people realize that when they go and purchase more guns & rifles in those gun shops and gun shows, that they not only have to (need background checks) but do these people know that every type of gun has to be registered now days ? If they ever ( and I highly doubt if it will happen) but IF they Ever Pass a law where the Feds will come in, and start confiscating everybody's guns that has been registered, there are people that currently have guns that are NOT registered. This means : the Feds won't be knocking on people's doors, that have guns that are Not registered.

I find this odd. Since I used to work at a Wal-Mart back in the 80's, shen they carried all types of weapons. They were to have kept records, but did not, at when they were audited...they had alot of explaining to do. This was not execepted and they lost their right to sell anything but shotguns. Now someone thinks they can do better? Really?So they now will make the time to show up? Yeh, right. They do not care. The NRA does not care. Both only want your $$$$$$$.

Go learn about it yourself, lazy. Google their hiring and employment practices. These are jackholes who went so far as to pay people minimum wage, only allow part time hours and then stick instructions in the employees' paycheck envelope about how to access the state's health insurance and other programs for the poor.

Not "admission fee", "back taxes". Walmart pays almost nothing in federal taxes. Most of the time, they get tax credits from local state and property taxes.

Personally, I would NEVER shop there.
When I see people here in CA running to their stores, it makes me laugh. I wonder IF they know that it cost the taxpayers in CA (which I happen to be one of), over 80 million dollars a year to take care of Wal-Mart employees since most them get some form of state assistance. Unbelievable.
