(CNN) – It's about time for some bipartisan...skeet shooting?
Rep. Marsha Blackburn, R-Tennessee, joined a chorus of skeptics who questioned President Barack Obama's recent comments about his hobby of skeet shooting, a sport where participants fire shotguns to break airborne clay disks.

"If he is a skeet shooter, why have we not heard of this? Why have we not seen photos? Why hasn't he referenced this at any point in time?" Blackburn said Monday on CNN's "Erin Burnett OutFront."
"I tell you what I do think," she later added. "I think he should invite me to Camp David, and I'll go skeet shooting with him and I bet I'll beat him."
Obama said in an interview published Sunday by The New Republic that he won't ignore the concerns of hunters and sportsmen as his administration pushes for tighter gun laws. To illustrate his point, he added an anecdote about his previously unknown penchant for shooting.
"Up at Camp David, we do skeet shooting all the time," he said, responding to a question about whether he had ever fired a gun. He also added he has included guests on his skeet shooting outings.
Some found the comments puzzling and wondered why he hadn't mentioned his gun experience in the high-profile firearm debate over the past six weeks. The remarks especially fired up some conservative blogs and news outlets.
"We had this debate that is ongoing," Blackburn said. "You would have thought it would have been a point of reference."
When asked by Jessica Yellin, CNN's chief White House correspondent, how often the president goes skeet shooting, White House press secretary Jay Carney said earlier Monday that he doesn't know.
"He does go to Camp David with some regularity, but I'm not sure how often he's done that," Carney said during the daily press briefing.
Pressed further if there was a photograph of the president taking part in the sport, Carney said "There may be, but I haven't seen it."
"Why haven't we heard about it before?" Yellin continued.
"Because when he goes to Camp David, he goes to spend time with his family and friends and relax, not to produce photographs," Carney said.

Yes right wing, people who enjoy shooting sports can be in favor of restrictions on firearms. Maybe he didn't bring it up because, like most of us, guns used in skeet shooting are not and have never been part of the debate.
As someone who follows the news pretty closely, I have rarely seen ANY pictures of ANY presidents at Camp David, it's supposed to be a private retreat. Who knows what else goes on there, I really don't care.
They have more respect for someone (Cheney) who shot his buddy in the head. Anyone can use a gun; it does not make you a patriot. Hell, I have a gun and use it for target shooting. I have no interest in killing animals; can buy my food at the store, thanks. If someone was trying to break in to my home, yes, I could shoot them. Am I worried the gov't. is going to take my gun away? No, I'm not the hysterical type. What idiots some of these GOP nut jobs are! Embarrassing to say the least.
I'm sure Marsha Blackburn could beat the President at skeet shooting: after all, he does his job and she clearly does not not, instead choosing to devote her time to perfecting her skills at skeet and collecting the 175+K a year instead of actually passing legislation that has a chance of being written into law.
Mostly, Obama just shoots off his mouth .........
It's funny how when Senator Reid made the accusation that Romney hadn't paid any taxes, the right wing howled in protest over someone making baseless accusations. Now they're perfectly fine with them, as long as the accusations are leveled toward a Democrat.
"You don't see pictures of him shooting skeet." – you don't see many pictures of Presidents doing much of anything at Camp David, and there's a reason for that.
"He hasn't talked about it before." – I bet there are a lot of things he does and has done that he hasn't talked about publicly before.
But Mitt Romney shooting "critters" was credible? You right wingers are pathetic.
Obama also does sky diving, knits, bakes, turn water into wine and walks on water at Camp David.
Just another "non truth" from the Liar in Chief.
Next thing you know he'll be saying he's an illegal...
Oh, wait.
What a liar... He can't stop.
If my congressman took this battle, I would call for a recall election! Where are the JOBS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I guess someone told Obama that it is not just right wing nut jobs that own guns but a heck of alot more. So now he is breaking out the usual pandering. I'm surprise he has not come out of the closet and admit to swinging both ways.
Darlin', you ain't agoin' to Camp David. Not this way, not any way.
Mark!1 You say Obama is "pandering to his potential voters"?? He already got elected!! He can't get elected for a third term!! He doesn't have any "potential voters"!!
This jerk cannot help it he lies about everything how stupid is this ???
Republicans are SUCH losers.
Is the rep. from Tennessee a stupid to make a comment from the president such a challenging issue. he was only making a point that he too used a gun for skeet shooting as a hobby. There are important issues that the elected congress members need to work with the president. it is plain stupid to challenge the president on this. Find something that is more important for the american people.

If Obama walked on water to save Rush Limbaugh from drowning, the first words out of his mouth would be " What the hell is your problem? Can't you swim?"
Its a foregone conclusion that the Right will reflexively oppose anything the President does. What I want to know is how Marsha Blackburn finds time to hone her shooting skillis when we are paying her over $175,000 a year to actually pass laws that the President will sign? What has she done to have any credibility in a serious policy discussion?
What? You say this President could be lying? Lets examine what he said;"Up at Camp David, we do skeet shooting all the time," You see, he said we, not meaning him but maybe his wife, or kids, or guest be he didn't say " I ". You might recognize this type of response, if not pls see his Bengahzi rose garden speech where he said an act of terror, never said a terriorist attack, but when needed turned this understated comment into a full fledge I called it a terriorist attack from the start. You see it's not lying, it's just the way he talks, it's confusing but it's how he got elected.
The Real Tom Paine-I'm sure Marsha Blackburn could beat the President at skeet shooting: after all, he does his job ....

yeah Obama has done his job alright like passing a budget, cutting the deficit, cut spending, giving his buddies taxpayer money, closing gitmo, gave us shovel ready jobs, increase our health insurance, tax the poor and middle class, household income gone down, poverty gone up, double gas prices, cost of living gone up, golf, hang out with basketball players, focus on immigration while the economy is still bad.
"What a liar... He can't stop."
No matter what he says, we automatically refuse to believe it.
FIFY
Lemme guess...you also believe the birth certificate is forged, that there are "death panels" in the ACA and that he's secretly a Muslin, right?
More from the "you lie" party. It never ends
Perhaps he doesn't mention it because he's really not that good at it? I can bowl and do bowl BUT don't mention it because I'm not that good at it.........
Besides, what is the big deal about it?
Hey Blackburn, he'll shoot your eye out. From 10 yards. And on purpose.

The relevence in this is the current gun debate. For the prez to somehow equate the fact that he shoots skeet during this debate with no proof is ludicrous. He knows it, everyone knows it, but the media has his back and will let the comment stand.
What can we expect from a man that was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize BEFORE he accomplished any peace. It is nice to be awarded those prestigous wall hangings and then be allowed to fill in the blanks. And the money, don't forget the money.

What is ridiculous is Paul Ryan and his Ryan Budgets. Ryan was interviewed on CBS shortly after it was announced that he would be the VP nominee. He was asked for an estimate of what the national would be in 30 years, which is when he claimed his budget would balance. He claiimed 30 years. His reply was "we haven't run the numbers, yet." He's not a budget wonk. The man's a quack to make claims like that without doing the math behind it. Didn't he major in Economics?
The Nobel Peace Prize that Pres. Obama recieved was for a very real accomplishment. He won the 2008 election. The Nobel Committee was so greateul that the American People didn't elect another war mongering, economy destroying Republican that they award the prize to the American People. They just simply asked Barack Obama to claim it for them. That's all.
His detractors will claim he's lying. If they find out he really does shoot skeet they'll complain about taxpayer dollars being spent on shotgun ammo and clay pigeons.
