With an already top heavy Federal government, let us now increase the debt by increasing federal wages, while middle class taxpayer struggle forward.
Not if you want to cut Social Security. No pay hikes for anyone in the Gubmint. And take those back from Congress.

Is he completely and totally insane?
He stands at the podium, and attacks the Republicans about raising revenue, while he is in the back room, scheming to give the increased revenue away to his cronies?????/
More BS from the big spender in charge I guess when he gave himself, The House, and Senate a (much more than 1%) a raise he forgot about the little people oh that's right it doesn't make a difference anymore you re-elected the liar again.
A pay hike for civil service workers, reduced pensions, and a pay cut for active duty military personnel?
A good many civil service jobs not very demanding and certainly not in harm's way presently pay far more than
the highest enlisted ranks earn with forty years of service! Reason has indeed left us and fled to brutish breasts.
Thank you. Gdubglenn
What percentage did Congress get? Bet it was more than 1%.
About time. My husband hasn't had a raise in years.
BTW – members of congress should have their pay reduced by at least 20% since they don't work and just put speed bumps on the road to discovery.
