Washington (CNNMoney) - Some 600,000 poor women and children will no longer get free milk and cheese, and some 2,100 fewer food inspections will take place if federal budget cuts expected to kick in March 1 actually take place.
The White House warned Friday that some $85 billion in budget cuts coming as a part of the "sequester" will end up carving some 9% from non-defense programs and 13% from defense programs, because the cuts take place over 7 months instead of 12.

Do not cut infrastructure spending–cut defense.
I try to imagine my military career without being forced to make the hard choices and reduced to "sequestered" decisions because we were too cowardly to man-up. We'd have needed to check with lobbyists before deciding a course of action. The Army wouldn't do well with that sort of leadership yet Congress rarely does otherwise.
The obama/dem agenda is unraveling at a rapid rate. Of course the LSM is still in their corner and will do it's best to provide glossed over inaccurate facts to further the support of the uninformed. Good luck dems. Love this hope and change. Tune in Tuesday for the State of the Former Union Address.....nothing new though, rhetorric, lies, division and deceipt.
How come no one ever blames the White House? This is their idea! The White House has not even propsed a budget, and still by everyones account the blame belongs to everyone except the White House. Who is the White House warning, them selves? I just dont get it. If 600,000 people are going to go without cheese and milk, one would think that the President of the United States might actually do something other than blame others. He might even concider sending a budget to Congress. We all know that is not going to happen. His 1st 4 years were blamed on Bush and his next 4 will be blamed on everyone that does not just say yes.
Good luck America.

Here's a thought – instead of going after 600,000 poor women and children, why don't you go after the jerks using their EBT cards at strip joints and liquor stores? Cowardly good-for-nothings.
Todd S you are incorrect the President has submitted a budget each year, its the senate that has refused to do a budget. They all voted down the Presidents budget.
The white house leaders can say what they want but if obama sees where its hurting people, he want sign off big talk white house leader.
@mgctampa keep trying 2 inform the igorant. Some day it may get thru there thick skulls. 600,000 w/o milk and cheese. How about 18,000 corp with accounts n the cayman island that r dodging taxes that would benefit the country as a whole? Pathetic!
