Obama rallies supporters after State of the Union

(CNN) - After stepping off of the House floor Tuesday, President Barack Obama picked up the phone and urged supporters to push forward the priorities he outlined in his State of the Union.

"Wherever you are I just want you to remember its people like you who are going to help us actually realize the vision that I talked about tonight," he said on a conference call and livestream. "That's why you're the first phone call I'm making on the way back to the White House."

It was coordinated by Organizing for Action, the shell of his campaign which was turned into a non-profit political group last month to provide momentum for his agenda.

The group said Obama would be heard in 1,200 house parties of supporters around the U.S., and invited others to join online or by conference call.

The president spoke briefly and did not outline specifics he wanted his supporters to rally behind.

"Its going to be tough because there's going to be resistance in Congress on some of these issues but this is not about me this is about us," he said.

But Obama has said he will push for gun control measures and immigration reform in the next several months. Congress also has several fiscal issues on their plate in the next several weeks.

"Our success is going to depend on how well we're working together - not just here in Washington but all across the country," he said. "Don't let the people in the room with you now or in your neighborhood become strangers. You've got to work with them over the next few months."

How can anyone blame Obama for the mess we've been in for the past 10 years. Anytime he offers a solution the Republicans dismiss it. More and more it's becoming obvious that the Republicans don't give a rat's behind about our country, but rather care only about themselves and guns.

Good speech from the prez. He is so polite and presidential. Keep up the good work. Prez has us. Prez has been blessed with good stuff. President Obama can sometimes be to nice when he's dealing with snakes. Good work and don't fear those guys from the other side of the aisle. Prez is so smooth and sure of himself. GOD is so good.
