Washington (CNN) - In his final press briefing as defense secretary, Leon Panetta expressed concern over how the world will view the United States if it fails to avert steep budget cuts due to take effect in two weeks.
"What they (other countries) worry about is what I worry about, which is whether or not we can govern and whether or not we can face the tough decisions that have to be made and resolve those," Panetta said on Wednesday about the budget uncertainty.

All revenue related bills must originate in the House. We have a deadline at the end of the month. What does Speaker Boehner have the House doing right now? They're going to leave DC on a two week vacation break, while the top Republican leadership beats war drums over how Pres. Obama is not doing anything about the budget.
Yeah,
Tought decisions. Something the President has no stomich for. Not much of a secret anymore. Boehner is right. When will the president quit voting present and start being a president?
This President was elected during the worst recession, two ongoing wars and a war on terrorist. It is shameful that the GOP could not put the country first. If they had, they could have taken some of the credit for the recovery rather the blame when it fails.
They also watched as our consulate burned down and this president did nothing.
yes, the world is watching. And wondering. We know spending cuts are now causing recession # 3 in Europe, and not reducing deficits there. They are wonder why we'd be so stupid as to let Boehner's Sequester happen.
The Democratic Party socialists cannot govern.......they don't have the ability to "govern", all they know how to do, is seize control and dictate to everyone in America, what they can or cannot do.
Yeah, the world is watching alright and having a great laugh at us due to this inept administration.
