Tiger Woods on golf with Obama: 'We won'

(CNN) - It's an invitation one doesn't turn down, as Tiger Woods said: the offer to hit the links with the president.

The golf star said Tuesday that when he and President Barack Obama played on Sunday, they were on the same team.

"He was my partner," Woods told reporters, adding, "we won."

Obama spent the weekend at The Floridian, a coastal resort owned by Democratic donor Jim Crane who also played with the president. Rounding out the foursome on Sunday was U.S. Trade Representative Ron Kirk.

"He calls up and says, hey Tiger, you wanna play?" Woods recounted, laughing. "No, it's a obviously - there is a process that's involved and I was invited to play. And it was an invitation that certainly you don't turn down and especially being - he's an avid golfer, and so am I so we went out there."

When Obama returned to the White House from his weekend on Monday, he smiled and declined to answer reporters' question about the game. The White House blocked reporters from viewing the president's golf party for the most part, but CNN was able to view Obama playing a portion of two holes on Monday.

On Saturday, Obama may have picked up a few tips for his own game. He played with Wood's former coach, Butch Harmon.

Obama and Woods previously met in 2009 at the White House when the golf star was in town for a charity event.

If people would read the news they would discover that the President is not a neo-fascistk corrupt or inept. This constant barrage of hate mongering has no place in this country. There is enough blame to go around. The GOP continues to do nothing so that the President will not receive any credit for what he wants to do. They have held up nominations and the backlog for judges is ridiculous. One judge who had the support of the Maine Senators just got confirmed after sitting in limbo for over a year.

There is a certain amount of respect that we should have for the office of President and the person who is elected. President Bush had detractors, too, and those who went negative during his term in office were just as bad. You do not have to like those who are elected but we need to show our children that we can be respectful, that we can listen and that no one person is to blame for the problems we face. We can criticize without the name-calling and those who cannot should take a break from posting comments. In the case of Mr. Bush, he inherited a budget surplus from the Clinton administration. If we had not had the surplus we would have had a greater deficit since neither Congress or President Bush funded this war.

FYI: President Bush had more vacation time and we should not begrudge any President for weekends away from the White House. The President is always on duty even when he is playing golf. Try living on the minimum wage. Try doing some of jobs that minimum wage people do or try collecting garbage, cleaning hospitals, schools and other businesses. Try feeding a family of four while receiving the minimum wage for the work you do,.

Who cares about Tiger Woods? He was a "celebrity" .. now he's just a pro golfer who has lost his swing. Quit trying to grabthe spotlight again

So Obama is for the poor and the working class and trots them out when there is one of his manufactured crisis. But hangs with the wealthy (donors)and reported throws legislation their way. Take for instance the Keystone pipeline. That would create over 20,000 jobs. But no one is reporting that right now. U see, Buffet's company is the one responsible for transporting the oil by rail fr ND to the rest of the country. If the pipeline was actual built that would put Warren Buffet's company, out of business. Who is Warren Buffet? A major donor to Obama. So trump up some crap about the environment and viola! Obama's rich friends are protected and while unemployment remains high, Obama is not where interested in employing the little folks. Just keep giving them handouts. But hey America you voted for change right? Obama will look out for u right? as he golf with the rich and famous.
The only things missing from this word salad rant are references to the Freemasons and that the clues are hidden on the back of the Declaration. This shows how desperate the Right wing has become, ignoring the fact that the worthless House of Representatives feels so overwhelmed by their "workload" that they take a week each month to go on break, even with the Sequester looming. Nice to see the blinkers are on and are being used, even if the higher functions of our delta-minus Rightie friends are still waiting to be engaged.

I didn't realize that having weekends off is now considered being on vacation? Is the 7-day work week back?!
